It was my birthday yesterday. <) We went to an awesome inn in the Adirondacks for an overnight and had a blast! We got home around 12 yesterday and just lounged around watching football.
I hope all of you in the path of the blizzard are staying safe and warm! I saw the pics GLW and MyName posted and the amount of snow was incredible!
We had our party on Saturday with some close friends to celebrate mine and the H's bdays. It was a great night full of shots, laughter, dancing, and good food. It ended up being a really nice day down here.
Sunday was pretty much a wasted day, the H was verrrrry hungover and was pretty much in bed until late in the afternoon. We had some folks stay over so luckily I was feeling well enough to make a pot of coffee and get some breakfast made for everyone before they left. Since we had other food leftover from the party, I didn't even cook anything else all day (after the breakfast) and just watched the football games and relaxed. Had some post-party clean up to do but the damage was minimal (just a LOT of recycling to take out!).
I didn't do anything this weekend except cook, eat, and watch 'Shameless' (I had free Showtime).
My car is still buried, but it's supposed to be pretty warm the next few days and I don't actually need to use it until Presidents Day weekend, so I'm not too worried.

I still cannot believe the snow you guys got! Not a single flake up here.

A&J from Austin were over and I showed them your picture. Their mouths fell open when they saw it! Glad you didn't have to go anywhere. I have only seen Shameless once and liked it, I should put that on my list of future shows to watch if I can get the episodes somehow without buying the showtime package.

Happy belated birthday, sitnspin! I missed it on FB.
I honestly couldn't tell you what we did on Friday. I had a work event on Saturday. We had a good turn out then I hung out with my work BFF afterwards.
Sunday was doing things around the house and running errands. We had to run out to MIL's place to help her with something.
My weekend was kind of extended into Monday since work BFF and I went to visit our favorite donors. They day ended with yet another flat tire. We got a flat going to the same place about a year ago.
The weekend was a good balance of shoveling snow, watching the kid and dog play in the snow, cleaning, organizing, and going a little stir crazy, lol. We finally dug out this morning. I am kind of regretting coming into work, since the feds are closed, there's not much going on.
Though the Richmond office is reopened (they got 12 inches) and don't really understand our issue. (Maybe having to do with getting 36 inches...) But I wanted to grab some of the personal items from my office, and honestly, wanted a break from the house. (We have been home since Thursday afternoon...)

Lol! It does seem overwhelming, right? The best thing about NYC is that the snow usually melts pretty fast, unlike in New England. There was already a marked improvement this morning!
I noticed I was getting Showtime late on MLK day, and I'm already almost done with Season 4. I'm trying to watch as much for free as I can, but I'd probably pay for it if I had to. lol I really like it!
I'm still snowed in, so my "weekend" continues. Haven't done anything since Friday afternoon except sleep, drink, shovel, watch TV, shovel again, and hang out in our neighbors' hot tub. I expect school to be open tomorrow but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get there.
