Did anyone watch Master Chef last night, with the final four contestants? What did you think? (There are spoilers in this thread so I'm trying to make sure there's enough text up top here so that nobody gets spoiled if they hover over the link. is this enough?)
Once their souffles were being judged it was pretty easy to see that Josh had won, but if you'd asked me a week ago I would've told you that Josh was the next one going home. Up until last night I had thought that Frank had a shot at the whole thing.
So now we're down to Josh, Becky, and Christine. Who do you want to win? I think Becky definitely has the skills, but I cannot stand her attitude so I don't want her to win. Christine's story and her accomplishments are amazing. Josh seems talented but I don't think he has enough of a "personality" to win the whole thing. I think it'll come down to the two girls.
I think Becky should win, she has the most ability when it comes to creativity with her cooking. But I think Christine will win, bc that makes for great tv and a nice story. I feel like they are extra hard on Becky, and probably easy on Christine. I want to see how she actually cooks! I wish one episode the camera would not cut away from her and it would show her create these dishes start to finish. I'm amazed that she doesn't cut herself or burn herself more often.
Not sure why they felt the need to go to commercial when Graham was deciding whose was the best chocolate souffle -- it was clear that Josh's looked so much better!
Becky deserves to win, but it doesn't mean that I'm rooting for her. My vote is for Christine.

Agreed. I get that they were trying to stretch it out to fill the hour, but there was no suspense there because it was clear that Josh had won.
MH thinks that Josh had the better cheese souffle, too, but they just let Frank have that one so that they could "tie it up" and get Graham to decide the winner.
When they did the promo for next week, it looked like all the eliminated contestants will return for a challenge, right?

Yeah thats what it looked like, probably more as support for the final 3 rather than a chance for them to get back in again.
Josh clearly won the souffle challenge but I was really surprised- I expected Frank, Becky, and Christine to be the final 3. I think it will come down to Christine and Becky. I really want Christine to win, she has a better attitude and is more humble than Becky. But I can see it going either way.

I think Christine might win it. I was never really sure why people were so crazy about Frank but as soon as I saw the souffle, I knew Josh was moving on. It almost seemed unfair to me to have that be the decision maker.
I was surprised (well, not during the episode itself because it was clear that she wasn't doing well) that Becky went home. I hated her prissy attitude and didn't want her to win the whole thing, but she was consistently good up until this week.

I'd be very surprised if Christine doesn't win.
Me too, up until this episode I figured it would be down to Becky and Christine, but she definitely didn't seem as good anymore during this episode. I'm sure Christine will win- her cookbook would sell so much better than Josh's. He does seem like a good, creative cook though so he'll be fine.
Anyone else think it's a little awkward how they offer some contestants jobs, but not others? Like, David Martinez was #6 and gets a job at one of Graham's restaurants. Then Monti and Frank get eliminated but don't get anything. Then Becky gets offered a job with Gordon Ramsay. Will the #2 contestant get a similar consolation 'prize', or nothing at all?
Partially I think this because of the editing on who they pay the most attention to, and I think thats Christine. The past two seasons DH and I picked who we thought would win after the first few episodes, and I picked the winners! I think it was because of how they were portrayed by the show though. The ones they don't spend any time on don't go very far.

Christine will win. I like her, and I've thought she would win from the final 12 or so!
I hate that they eliminated Becky. They set it up for her to have a terrible episode just so they could get Josh and Christine into the final two. Because you know men won't want to watch 2 GIRLS trying to get the title. *eyeroll*
