Whine - the job situation at work is still up in the air. I have no idea if my job is getting merged, if I'm being given supervisor responsibility, or if everything is staying the same.
Wine - DW was a great support yesterday when I was having such a rough day. Sometimes, because she tends to be a fixer, she can't let me just bitch and complain without trying to solve it. Yesterday she just let me bitch and cry and feel awful and that was nice.
Whine: I think the ASW has an issue with us being gay or she thinks we can't give the girls the culture she wants them to have because I'm white. These are the only things that make sense for how she is treating us.

Whine: I am not sleeping well and it's taking a toll on me.
Wine: This weekend I'm taking E camping and to see her first Brandi Carlile concert.
ETA...OMG and how could I neglect to mention we are planning to up with ElsaVonM and her family...clearly the lack of sleep is making my brain foggy. Way excited!!!
Whine: this vacation has kinda sucked. Between Carter's strep/ear infection, L having tooth/ear pain and not feeling well, my crazy (these days) period, my father and L being like oil and water, and copious amounts of rain, I am ready to go home. Sadly we are going home to a home where the a/c broke and it is supposed to be 90 tomorrow.
Wine: I am so happy to planned on getting home 4.5 days before school starts to give us time to relax at home before getting into the grind.
Whine: My play date, Hen's mum, had to cancel today because Hen fell asleep just before they were due to come over. When they made it here, this afternoon, I was nursing N to sleep and I missed them. We haven't hung out in a while and I was looking forward to it.
Wine: We took a walk to the park and had a picnic. He was in such a good mood, all laughter and hugs. It was really fun.

Whine: I am hating my job right now. Hating. As much as I love where I work, I am seriously overwhelmed. I've worked a ton of overtime this week trying to get stuff done and we have a million things to do at home.
Wine: my wife's birthday is next week and we're having a cookout on Saturday to celebrate. I'm really excited, and her BFF and some of her cousins are coming in from OOT to see her. Plus it's a three-day weekend!

whine: C and I are in desperate need of some time alone. We came to our senses and decided that the time we were going to use to have date night is better served by getting the older house ready to be put up for rent.
wine: I love that my Wife, my Kiddo's, and my Pup-pup love the house. They all seem to have this wonderful energy...

If you need a cool place to go, PLEASE feel free to come on over! We are pretty close to you now (just a tiny bit south of 198). The guest room has a queen bed, you'd have a bathroom to yourselves, and we have tons of air mattress/couch/floor space for the boys.

I pink puffy heart love all you ladies. This made my heart smile.
Whine:First day back for me today. I was not as productive and have tons to do tonight and tomorrow. Also we found out we have a fourth program on our team this year. Learning Center (regular learning disabilities), Integrated (aspergers and behavioral disabilities), neighborhood inclusion (major intellectual disabilities, autism or downs syndrome) and edco (for deaf students). I am used to large numbers of special ed kids in my classes that is not a big deal but it is much easier to have students with similar disabilities. This is going to be an interesting year. I am just irritated that we were not told we had such a heavy load this year and also that some of the other teams have a very light load. My learning center kids travel with 1 aide for about 5 kids, my integrated students have a 1:3 aid ratio, neighborhood inclusion has a 1:1 aide ratio (I have three students from this program), the deaf students have a sign interpreter and and 1:1 aides (2 students). All my classes will have extra adults in the room (which is great) but some of my classes will have 23 students and up to 5 adults plus me. That doesn't even count the special ed teachers for these programs that also come in during the week. It is going to be a full very "special" year. Ugh that is a lot of people to keep on the same page.
Wine: I am so happy that the special ed kids in our town get such wonderful services. They are all in a full inclusion model with the support and modifications that they need to be successful and to make progress to be the best they can be. As we all know you don't always get the child or children you imagined and dreamed about. I feel good that I can help provide students a quality educational experience and that my district is committed both educationally and fiscally to helping all students learn.

Thank you so much! We went ahead and got a hotel with points. The kids have back to school night tomorrow night and so we'd be in and out. But thank you so much for the offer. Hopefully this repair will be the last of our a/c woes this year.
Whine: I had to go to work shmoozing event last night. The invite said "dinner", but it was really just appetizers and a cash bar. I couldn't eat most of the apps and ended up having a salad at McDonalds in the midst of a sweaty, clammy blood sugar crash at 8:30 pm. Plus the schmoozing was very painful for me because I'm not much of a mover and shaker, can't use "synergy" in a spoken sentence without gagging, and would rather just sit at my desk with a database. Also people kept asking about my family, meaning I had to come out about 16 times, which is also just tiring for me.
Wine: The happy side effect (and the reason I went) was that I spent some time getting to know some colleagues who are in my office but don't work in the same area as me.
