I read a tip a few weeks ago to spray the dry shampoo on your hair before you go to bed at night and basically "let your pillow do the work". It's about 1000x better than spraying and brushing in the morning. No white residue, hair is ready to be styled. Eta: I use Batiste dry shampoo
Also- my hairdresser turned me onto to Bumble and Bumble pret-a-powder. OMG it's amazing. It's so fine and light (powder not a spray) it's a dry shampoo and adds texture/volume at the roots. I'm obsessed.
I've been wondering if doing it the night before would be a good idea. Glad it worked out. I've also been spraying hairspray on my waves about 10 minutes before I go to sleep so then I don't look like Medusa in the morning and don't have to wash my hair or throw it up in a bun. Yesterday was day 3 hair and I don't think it looked all that bad. I didn't do it last night because my hair holds once I get a layer of hairspray in and it held up to me sleeping on it. Almost thought about rolling in with 4 day hair.
I tried this last night and I'm rockin the day 3 hair today. This is unheard of for my fine, easy to grease up, hair. It's in a topknot but at least I don't feel like it's a gross topknot!
