Tonight I'm going out for drinks with a friend after work.
My brother's gf turned 30 on Tues, and for Christmas I gave her a gc (printed from a Word template, lol) for a "fabulous birthday celebration in NYC", so they're coming tomorrow. I'm meeting them at the train station then taking them to a tapas place for lunch. Then we're going to do a wine tasting at a winery in Brooklyn. Later we're going to my fave neighborhood wine bar for wine & cheese, then this really good little Italian place for dinner. We'll play it by ear after that.
Sunday we'll go out to breakfast/brunch, then they'll probably head home. After they leave I'll do all my boring crap - laundry, groceries, etc.

It's going to be a weekend full of family.
My parents are coming to stay with us tonight. We're meeting them at a restaurant on their route here. If the weather's not too chilly, we might sit on the back patio by the fire and drink some beer.
Tomorrow is my nephew's birthday party. We'll have breakfast with my parents, they'll probably head over to my sister's house. H and I will make our way there eventually.
My brother and his family are staying with us Saturday night. I don't know if they're going to want to take another walk down memory lane (they both went to college here) or what, so we'll play the rest by ear.
I'm hoping they leave by lunchtime or shortly thereafter on Sunday so I can have some time with H to enjoy the warm weather!

It sounds like I stole your phrasing... oh well.
That sounds like a fabulous time in NYC! I'm a little jealous!

If you are ever in NYC, I'll be happy to take you around too!
Tonight G is making homemade mushroom ravioli and we're watching a movie.
Tomorrow G is getting a haircut and I'm writing a paper all morning (bleh) and then we're meeting up with friends for dinner and drinks.
Sunday we're shopping for a new tux for G (I'm glad he tried on his old one; he's lost a lot of weight and it looked ridiculous on him) and then I plan on doing as little as possible!
Thanks, MyName ! Now I just have to convince H to go there one day!
@ello How was Whole30? Did you like the program?
My Whole30 was rough. I liked it however, it is not something that I can keep up with. It required a lot of patience, planning and shopping. I felt like I was going to the grocery store every day.
I won't be keeping up with the program, but I will be more mindful of my eating habits.

Tonight is a girls' night reunion with some of my old Colorguard friends from HS! I haven't seen some of them in many years so it should be interesting and fun. We're going to a patio cantina for food, then to Top Golf to hit some balls around.
Tomorrow I don't even know yet. One of our friends invited us over to watch a movie and eat "healthy" food that he says he's cooking (he's currently been juicing and on a weight loss plan), but then I saw a band is coming in town that I really liked last year so I may try to convince them to go out to see them rather than staying in for a movie. Or I may just go without the men and meet up with a friend there if they don't feel like doing that. I feel like seeing the band would be more fun.
Sunday - BFF got a sitter so we can go eat crawfish nearby on a patio in the afternoon.

Which Top Golf are you going to? My BIL bar-tends at the one in Spring.
And I vote going to see live music. That's a much better group activity than a movie at somebody's house...especially with healthy food. Bring on the popcorn and Dr Pepper!

Spring is far north for us, but that's good to know in case I make it up to that location! They do have some amazing drinks! We're going to the West Hou location. Last time I was there, my cousin and I hung out at the bar after our time limit was up for the golfing and made friends with the bartender on duty. He had a pitcher of Sangria sent back because it was the wrong one and just gave it to us, so we ended up with free drinks!
Yeah, I already sent a text to the guys to see if they will consider going out instead of staying in. Hopefully they will agree and join the fun!

I figured you'd be going to that one. Score on the free drinks! That's awesome!
