Did anyone do research on both of these strollers and decide on one over the other?
H is most interested in the City Mini GT Double because of the air-filled tires. But this is significantly more expensive and I don't know how much use we'll get out of it with C already being 2.5 years old. Plus this brand seems to be excluded from all coupons and never seems to go on sale. It's $578 on Amazon for the current model.
The Britax seems to be everything else we'd want, minus the air-filled tires. Plus it's eligible for my Amazon registry completion discount and I could get it for $286. Will I regret going with the cheaper option?
Also does anyone know how early I could use either of these strollers with an infant without a carseat?
I have the GT double. I wanted the tires for going out grass, gravel, etc. I originally thought I'd get the double bob but the I discovered the gt and liked that it is smaller when folded up.
Have you checked Albee baby online? They always have 20% off. Also Stroller depot. That's wher I order mine and it was on sale.
I got the Britax and am really happy with it. We have the single GT and love that, but couldn't justify the cost for a double that we won't use very too long (given our age gap). If I had found a used GT double I would have grabbed it for the tires. But I really like the Britax.
I got the GT used (I don't think they actually ever used it) for $300 on a twin sell Facebook page. I already had the select double so I was hesitant but decided I couldn't pass up the price. I LOVE it. I wish we would have gotten this originally. It's wide, but any double is. I've gotten through any door and I've had to abandon only a handful of poorly laid out stores. I really love this stroller and an trying to think of how we will use it for both boys and the new baby this fall.
We have the britax b-agile double and city mini single. Honestly I wish we had gotten the city mini double. The britax is a great stroller but the seat backs are smaller and I have tall kids. If you close the canopy over dd's side it rests on her head. Also the straps are very lower on her back instead of closer to her shoulders
Eta; we ordered the britax from kohls. It was free shipping and I was able to combine 3 coupon codes. We ended up paying less then $200 for it
As you know one of the strollers I have is the City Mini. I really, really, really regret not getting the GT. One of the reasons we use and love the Bob so much is because it has the air filled tires (along with other reasons). The air filled tires are just better on every surface, even just flat ground at the mall! I would spend the extra $$ for the GT hands down.

I was actually going to text you because I thought I remembered you mentioning something about that!

I have the attachment for my infant car seat for the City Mini (and the Bob) so I'll start using it again but I seriously considered selling it and getting the GT (single). In the end DH put his foot down on that idea though. Booo! But that's how much air filled tires make a difference IMO.
There is a red City Mini double for a good price on craigslist right now and again, I'm so temped to buy it but like DH said, "you'll never reach for it because of the wheels", which is true. It's a huge reason why I so rarely use the City Mini and always use the Bob instead. Finding a City Mini double GT has proven to be very hard unfortunately. If I found one of those I would scoop it up!

I have the britax. I know I put dd in the bottom seat lying almost flat when she was about 5 weeks old. When DS2 came I sprung for the car seat adaptor.
