I don't own that one but I do have this one and sized to a M.
I usually wear a S in j.Crew and jackets a 6p. I bought it as a 3 season coat that I can layer with and it's perfect. In general Burberry runs small so sizing up is recommended. I don't think the one you've picked would be a bad jacket to have a bit larger unless it's obscenely large. Honestly, for that price I don't think it's worth it. I've heard that style isn't as warm as some of the others, but it depends on where you live and what you are wanting it for. In my case, it would have been a waste because in CO we get a lot of snow and it's cold. It's a great classic coat for sure but just depends on your needs.
I have the classic quilted barn style one. I can't remember the official name but I took a Medium. The one I got has a removable shell for the colder days. I have worn the crap out of that coat so IMO it was worth it. bcarp30 I love the one you have!

Thanks! I am obsessed with it. Such a good purchase! Took the hood off too and wore it to a cocktail party and it was perfect. I feel like these classic Burberry coats are so worth their prices.
I have the zip up version in pink. I purchased it many years ago and will probably resell it. I found that some of the threads unraveled which I was surprised about. If I was to buy burberry ever again it would be probably a trench. It really depends on your preferences and style. I would see if i could try it on in store before purchasing.
