Disney Restaurant Recs

My parents, DS, and I are going to Disney World later this month.  We did several character meals on our last trip, so we're not really looking to do anymore of those, but I would like some recs of other restaurants to try.  What are your favorite restaurants at Disney?

Where are you staying and how old is your DS?

My favorite non character meals are Kona at the Poly and Yak and Yeti at Animal Kingdom. Kona is good for breakfast and dinner.

Via Napoli in Epcot is our favorite. Also, Prime Time Cafe in HS.

We enjoyed dinner at The Wave at the Contemporary. We had a nice lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe.

I also enjoyed our meals at BOG, especially dinner, but not sure if you would be able to book that or not.

I agree with Kona, Via Napoli and Yak and Yeti.

I love Boma at AKL.

Spice Road Table in Morocco. If you time it right, you can watch the fireworks. Not the best view but still nice.

My son is 7 and both he and my 4 year old loved dining at Sanaa at Animal Kingdom lodge. We got a table right next to the window and they watched the animals. They had these birds that came right up to the glass and "played" with the boys. They thought that was the best thing ever.

My favorites were California Grill in the Contemporary, the Flying Fish at Boardwalk, and the Yachtsman at the Yacht Club. I felt like the food was really good and on par with other good restaurants that we've eaten at.

eta: And Sanaa at AKL! Order the naan as an appetizer and try to go for a late lunch/early dinner around dusk when the animals are walking around in the savanna.

Best meals: Yachstman Steakhouse, Narcoose's, Ohana for breakfast

Worst meal: Cinderella's Table. That stuff they pretend is food was barely edible.

Otherwise I find the food very average. Not bad, not great.

We enjoy the Ohana dinner. We went the biergaren in Germany once and that was pretty cool. The food was decent but we really enjoyed the entertainment and it's not character entertainment which is different.

We mostly did character dining on our last trip but we really enjoyed dinner at Wave in the Contemporary Resort. I would definitely go there again.

We love Via Napoli in Epcot.

50's Prime Time Diner in HS.

Yak and Yeti in AK.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge.

Rainforest Cafe in Disney Springs.

H and I loved Boma at AKL but it wasn't our kids favorite. They loved all of the other places.

Not really a restaurant but if you're in Disney Springs and need a casual place, we had a delicious lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express. So, so, so good.

Your son might like Sci-Fi Drive In at Hollywood Studios
