I went to school with sisters named Joplin, Lennon and Dylan after Janet, John and Bob.
Ah, yes, the immortal Janet Joplin. (sorry, couldn't resist)
I came back to mention that a friend named her two boys Carter and Jackson. I asked her if she was a big fan of the presidents. She had no idea what I was talking about. I know they are both popular names at the moment, but I was surprised the presidential theme didn't occur to her.
Our financial planner's children are all named shades of green - Hunter, Forest, Sage, Kelly, etc. We figure maybe it's a good thing for a money person to be obsessed with green?
I have a friend whose last name is Green. Her FIL thinks it would be fantastic to name the kids after shades of green.
I knew a girl in high school named April Rose Fields.
DH likes the name Reagan for a girl, but is worried people will think of the president. We definitely won't have any themes going on from what I can tell so far.
I'm Mom's Name Jr. (I don't literally have "Jr." in my name, I just mean that Mom and I have the exact same names), my brother is Dad's Name Jr., and my sister's first and middle names are slight variations of both our grandmothers' names.
I knew a girl who's name was Brooke Lynn Bridge. Why do people do this to their kids?! H and his siblings and dad all have the same initials...JKB. I find it dumb.
On the Social Security baby names site a few years ago, I noticed that Brooklyn was in the top 10 for girls' names in nearly every state. Except for New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, the states where people are probably most likely to have actually visited Brooklyn at some point.

Living in NJ, I give parents the side eye when I hear of kids names Camden and Trenton. They're two of the most dangerous places to live in the state, but if you're not from the area I guess you wouldn't know that.
I've never seen a kid named Trenton but I've seen lots of Camdens, and I totally agree with you.
The most themed names I saw were a friend of mine named Mary. Her older brothers are Peter and Paul. I love it though since her parents had no idea what was so awesome about it

My college physics professor had kids named Peter, Paul, and Mary (in that order). He swore it had nothing to do with the singing group.
Then they had another baby named Thomas and threw the whole thing off. I guess it supported his claim that they named their kids Biblical names.
I can't side eye the same first letter. I mean once you give the second kid the same initials as the first you kind of have to stick with it for subsequent kids.
