I am always curious as to how this things are so close to what we actually get. Anyway, the Northeast predictions for December 2012
December 2012 1st-3rd. Snow Mid-Atlantic States to New England, then clearing. 4th-7th. Unsettled. 8th-11th. Some snow New England. Wintry mix Mid-Atlantic. 12th-15th. Snowstorm, with significant accumulations down to Maryland, Virginia, then fair, cold.!!! 16th-19th. Unsettled. 20th-23rd. Snow from Pennsylvania and New York to Maine. Showery across Mid-Atlantic States, then clearing, very cold.
I predict lots of hot chocolate and mulled cider in my future. Oy.
I am kind of excited, as this place allows us to work from home on snow days. My last job (you all know it!) required us to be in the office even if it was a nasty blizzard. Good times.
The only reason I'm not disappointed in this is that I'll be on mat leave and DH is taking parental leave for Jan-Feb to stay home with me. We can hibernate to our hearts content.

Last winter was supposed to be *the* most brutal winter ever in Chicago. The weathermen kept saying, "This one will be so bad, you'll want to move out of this city for good!"
Yup. Totally wrong. We had one of the nicest winters.
I will die. I'm considered "essential personnel" and have to be there. With my sucky commute, I predict lots of overnight stays in vacant patient rooms. Ugh!
