I am getting so aggravated with this new phone. It changes every damned word to something else and if I don't read like a hawk before posting or sending (email, text), it seriously makes either no sense or makes me look like an idiot.

I'm tired tonight and my back is killing me so I have little patience after sending an embarrassing email for this reason and I wanted to throw the phone on the floor. I didn't, I knew I was thinking crazy, lol, but it felt good to think to do it for a nanosecond.

I'm having a hard time speaking up. I met a guy on tinder and we texted a lot and have gone on 2 dates. I asked him if he wanted to hang it this past Tuesday and he told said he was working late. He has previously said he works late. He works as an accountant. Then we went from texting everyday to texting when we can (I'm pretty busy as well)

I get the feeling that he is really focused on his career and that he isn't really interested in dating or me. I think he gets that and basically doesn't want to hurt my feelings so he keeps texting when he can. I want to say something but I'm not exactly sure how to approach this. I'm bummed too.

I woke up to a plugged right ear. I just had them cleaned January 25th so I don't know why it would be plugged already. It's annoying :/ my thoughts keep going to a spider in my ear. Yikes!!!

What kind of accountant? He could just be busy doing tax returns??

ETA: I'm sorry you're bummed. It definitely can raise questions when communication changes that abruptly.

I'm an Accountant and this is our crazy busy time whether he works on taxes or has fiscal year end to focus on so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt for a while and not take it personally. This time of year seriously sucks the life out of us as we're typically working weekends as well as long hour days - it's basically survival mode. It could be that he is just too nice to say he's not 100% (& that's OK, not every one is going to click that way but you will mutually with someone!) Or it could be that he can barely breathe at the moment. Hugs!

Feel better!!! Would a decongestant help until you see your doc? Sorry, I've never had that happen so not sure. Not a spider! ::shiver::

I went up to LA yesterday to see a friend and go to a talk associated with my research. It was fun and my friend tried to talk me into moving up. I maaaaay expand my job search in a few months if I can't find anything here. I really do like the friends and activities I have here though.

My name change officially went through yesterday which adds ten million administrative tasks to my list of things to do. I'll get my dissertation done.... sometime.

Because yes, you should move here, it is awesome! It may be expensive, but I think it is totally worth it.

Thanks. It's gotten a bit better, but I'm still hearing an echoey sound so it's not quite unplugged yet. Someone at work mentioned me being sick, but I feel fine otherwise. Just a plugged ear. And could you imagine if it were a spider (it's not) but still. Ewwwwww!!!

Yep, Los Angeles! My friend was trying to convince me that because of all of the little neighborhoods it's less 'big city' than I think it is.

Your friend is right...a lot of people stick to their little neighborhood which makes it feel less big city...but you still have big city traffic.

For example, I have a book club that mainly meets about 15 miles away from where I live. I live on the Westside, the bookclub meets in the Valley...It takes me an hour+ to get to the meetings because of traffic. If I didn't love these girls, I wouldn't make the trek.

It also makes dating interesting, when I was Tindering, I wouldn't really pursue anyone who wasn't in my area because the headache it would involve if it became a thing.

That's good to hear. I get annoyed with OC traffic -- I wonder if I could handle LA traffic!!!
