We started moving to one nap around 11 months, but it was a long transition and took 3 months until he was truly down to one nap after lunch. It was an early nap (around 11am) for a while and then a really early bedtime at 6:30pm. However, we tried to just be flexible for a few months and if needed two naps, we had him take two naps.
Looking back, I should have just waited until he was a bit older to go down to one nap. I think that if I would have just kept our same schedule, he would have gone back to taking two naps after a few weeks and the transition to one nap would not have taken so long.
We moved to one nap at age 1. We moved them to a daycare center from a nanny and the DC only napped once from 1 to 3. It was a bit of a transition but after a month or so they were doing great.
It actually really helped us too b/c then we could do more on the weekends b/c we weren't a slave to two naps.
We moved to one nap really late - 17 months or so. DD is not a great night sleeper, and still wakes up a couple of times so the extra nap really helped her. One nap has been awesome though - it makes it so much easier to schedule a day!

DS started transitioning to one nap at about 10-11 months, but not very consistent on the time he would go down. He's now just over 1 and he naps right after lunch for about 2-3 hours.
It was at 15 months when he moved daycares and he was in a toddler room. He still takes the afternoon nap at 3.5. My friends said their daughter stopped napping at 2 and all I could think was "man that sucks". I mean we skip it if out and about but I like my hour or two (or sometimes three) of quiet on the weekend days.
DS is almost 11mos and he still averages 2 naps/day. Some days, he will take a 2hr power nap in the middle of the day but I don't push him if I see he needs another one.

it was just after she turned one .. b/t 12 and 18 months she went down to 1 nap. she did it gradually b/c for awhile she was hit or miss on 2 naps then slowly it became a super nap. at almost 3, she STILL naps for about 2hrs/day at daycare.
