The Book With No Pictures by BJ Novak. Dd got it for Christmas from a family member and it is her favorite!
I have read this book so.many.times. It's definitely a favorite. Our favorites this week are Dragons Love Tacos, Fox in the Dark, and There was an Old Dragon who swallowed a knight
@itsbritt - we just ordered Please Mr. Panda from the school book order. DS loves pretty much any book right now, but he keeps asking me to read this weird, old "Read to Me, Mommy" book where all the stories are old fashioned and kind of creepy! He chose it from a used bookstore. I need to hide that book sometime. DD loves the Paw Patrol phonics book set we got as a gift.
DD is 5. Her favorites are The Princess in Black, The Princess in Black and the Perfect Princess Party (both by Shannon Hale), I Really Like Slop, Pigs Make Me Sneeze (Mo Willems), all Pinkalicious books, all Fancy Nancy books, The Pigeon Needs a Bath (Mo Willems again), and all Pete the Cat books.
Dragons Love Tacos, Not all Princesses Dress in Pink, The Hug Machine, Dr. Seuss, The Berenstain Bears, and Uni the Unicorn are other picture books that have been read over and over through the years. Dr. Seuss is really great now that she can recognize some sight words and do some basic reading.
I plan on putting a bunch of chapter books in her Easter basket. We have a book problem in this house.
Around that age they both loved Goodnight, Goodnight Construction site, Meow Said the Cow, and all of the bear books by Karma Wilson. We also read a lot of Dr Seuss and Berenstain Bears.
Now they mostly read Diaries Of a Wimpy Kid, Geronimo Stilton and Goosebumps books.
Oh, I forgot!! they also now love the Octonauts books. We only have one so far and one coming soon. They are the books on which the TV show was based. They have really fun illustrations.

DS (three next month): The Grinch...all day every day for the last month.
DD (5.5): The Rescue Princess books are popular right now. Also, any chapter book that has a puppy on the cover. Puppy Place, Magic Puppy, etc. keep coming home from the school library.

DD 3 She has three that are in rotation, Monsters Love Underpants, How to Dress a Dragon, and Where the Wild Things are. I'm thinking off adding Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
DD2 will be 3 in a few weeks and her current favorites are anything by Sandra Boynton. Hey, Wake Up!, The Belly Button Book, It's Pajama Time, and Snuggle Puppy are stacked next to her bed and she will "read" them to her bunny every morning.
