Im awake, and have been for about 3 hours, but im not up. I plan to run 5 or 6 today at some point, but no tush. Its sunny out, but apparently cold. Not particularly motivating.
Up for church. I don't have to be the church barista today so that's good! Chopping veggies when I get home and then curling up in my reading room until dinner.
I have 15 w/12 at MP to head out for soon. Once that's done it's just relaxing and Super Bowl time for the rest of the day. We're not doing anything other than making our favorite appetizers to eat ourselves within the comforts of our home. I'm hoping for a Peyton Manning win!

I played the third hockey match of the day this morning (we won & I had a good game which brought back my confidence). I'm meant to lift this afternoon but not sure I'll get to it - my body is just tired (didn't sleep well last night).
coconutbug so sorry! Xo I skipped and foam rolled and stretched instead. I'm wearing all my compression items too. I Wanna race well so taking too off is ok
Got my 18 miler in today. 2:20. I could have gone further but staying on plan. Got surrounded by five dogs off leash, bitten by one of them. Spent the afternoon at the gym, swimming and steam room to relax the legs. Feel fabulous now.
Up, waiting like every Sunday for the gym to open at 11. No swimming today-don't wanna mess up my hair. so I'll hit up the elliptical. Then im taking the girls to their grandma who is taking them to the theater today ($35 seats because of the super bowl) when DH gets home from his dads, we might go to a party. I gotta pack for Vegas (what do I WEAR?!?) Busy day.
It's sunny but insanely windy here at our farm. I missed church because of several new calves, but otherwise it shouldn't be too busy for work. It's our anniversary so we may go out for a nice dinner or movie while everyone else does Super Bowl. Or we may just go to a friends & watch the game. We'll see.
The typical stuff. Downward dog, wall stretches, heel drops, the squat/pooping in the woods stretch (lol). I'm mostly foam rolling though, b/c a tiny part of my is afraid that perhaps the Achilles itself is slightly pulled/overstretched, and I don't want to make it worse.
It's higher up -- like the internet would describe it as non-insertion Achilles pain. I can feel a knot high up in the outside of my right calf muscle that I think might be causing it. When running, it starts off okay, then comes & goes. It's annoying, because during my long run, I'd feel great at MP or below, and then I'd feel it tug & get slightly sensitive, so I'd back off again.
The place I'm planning on going to for a massage (recommended by my running group) is sports focused. They're actually the main massage place for the local NFL team & also do manual therapies, so I plan on explaining everything & then seeing what they think.
Everything that is bugging me is so random lately! None of my normal issues, all new stuff. The knee pain is a million times better (& I have no idea where it came from) and now this annoying crap.

WTF, to the dogs?! Did it break the skin? Are you okay??
Do you know if Paris has tracking? I'm seriously tempted to throw on a pot of coffee & pull an all-nighter tracking you! You are going to crush it & I'm crazy excited about it.

Didn't break skin thankfully, but tights have a hole now
Yes, Paris has tracking I think! I can give you my bib number if you want? Anyone who is interested feel free to pm me!

The only thing that helped finally (and is keeping it away) was the eccentric heel drops. The lower leg sucks balls.
I crushed my 15k, taking 7+ minutes off last years time and setting a big 10k PR on my Garmin. Definitely a good way to go out (IVF exercise restriction starts Tuesday).

@cheshire, when is the Paris race? I am so excited for you. Maybe not all-nighter excited, but definitely excited to check on you first thing in the morning.

I'm up. Doing a 24-hour pee test for the endo, so I have to stay close to home.
Good news, though - since I further cut carbs (on the endo's advice) I've lost 5 pounds. In two weeks. And my bloodwork came back with high normal range fasting glucose, so I'd guess the diagnosis of insulin resistance is spot on... I can't wait for my next appointment. It's so nice to be heard.
My 15er officially blew. My legs didn't have any spring to it and it was TOUGH to keep my goal MP. Next week is my biggest week yet, capped off by a 20-miler, so I guess it's time to take my nutrition and sleep up a notch.
