I checked my email and Express sent an ad with these jeans pictured:
I swear to God I had these exact pants in high school...so 2001-2004. Fashion is so cyclical. All the 90s stuff that's been out was weird to see, but maybe the 2000s are coming back now. Get ready for velour track suits!
abcdefu, LOL at the pants. You're so right about everything coming back again. Some of it really shouldn't. Work has been quiet today and I feel like I could have accomplished more at home! I'm getting a little anxious about all the stuff I need to do prior to moving. Paperwork etc. changing jobs is a total nightmare.
I don't remember wearing those but I wasn't exactly the most fashion savy. They need to be outlawed though! ;p
New guests coming in and I'm so wanting to just chill quietly watching the snow.
I am so humbled by the support that I've received since announcing. We had a get together last night for football and every one kept hugging me and congratulating me. It's was a fun all girl's football and cooking evening. One of the women was opening up about all of the women in our ski community who have battled infertility never to become Moms and it broke my heart. You never know what people are dealing with behind closed doors. They had no idea that I also was dealing with it and for how long. I am so humbled by THEIR support despite their pain...that I know will never go away and I'm sure even my announcement pains them so much yet they are happy for me. I cried for each of them when I got home last night and again this morning in the shower. I wish infertility on no one woman, man or couple yet it's far too common nowadays.
Oh yes, I had "gauchos" and thought I was the shit. Shudder.
I remember those! I don't think I was the most fashion-conscious at 14 years old, but even I knew enough not to wear those pants!
Back in 2008 I bought a pair of boots that I loved. The sales guy really tried to convince me that they'd go great with a pair of culottes. He was good, I almost bought them, but then I remembered that they didn't look good in 1983, didn't look good in 2008, and won't look good in 2016.
