Do you get your pets' prescriptions filled at the vet's office or do you order online? I've always gone through the vet, but on a whim I checked online and (I guess obviously), it's much cheaper online. Just curious what you all do. Thanks.

I buy anything I need short term from the vet. Long term I will shop around. My only long-term med is prozac for cat, and I get that from the human pharmacy. $4 for a 30-day supply, which is actually a 60-day supply for Cat due to haing to cut them in half.

If we can we try to get them online. Obviously for any sort of antibiotics etc. we usually get them filled at the vet but for stuff we regularly use (flea med, dewormer, etc.) we get them online. Surprisingly amazon has decent prices as well!

Flea and heartworm meds from Drs Foster and Smith online. Costco has also started carrying pet meds, but I haven't purchased anything from them yet.
