I've got a question for you ladies. There is a newish salon in our area that offers this. Quite a few of my acquaintances have done the eyeliner and I admit, I'm intrigued. Would you consider something like this? I go to this place for peels and have gotten eyelash extensions (which I did not keep up with, but will do for extra special occasions), so I trust her.
I've considered it. But I just keep going back to the fact that the way I do my makeup now may not be the way I want it in 10 years (assuming it lasts that long). So I just won't risk it and will just take the extra 2 mins (as annoying as it is) to do when I'm wanting makeup on. I just am too scared to commit to something like that. Lol
My grandmother got eyeliner done. It looks fabulous. Its just a very thin line so to be more dramatic she can add real eyeliner on top of it.
That being said when she first told me about it I said what if style changes and years from now you dont like it. She promptly reminded me she is not exactly young and doesnt have many years left to ponder this.
Oh and she got hers done at a medical type place, maybe it was a doctors office. I dont really know what it was called but it wasnt a tattoo shop and it wasnt a salon. It was very much treated like a medical procedure. She had to go twice to get it done and filled in.
Mostly a lurker here but I would never do it. How long does it take to apply make up to justify a permanent procedure? Are the risks worth it? Make-up styles changes, why lock yourself into one look? Not for me...

How many variations of the way you wear eye liner are there? (assuming one doesn't go crazy with a super thick line, cat eye etc.) Am I missing something here?
I'm tempted to do it. As I get older and my hooded eyes are starting to droop a bit, I have problems with my top eyeliner smudging and ending up on my eyelid. Also, I don't ever wear my eyeliner any different so I don't think I would need to worry about it going out of style.
No. NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Guys. stop. Don't do this. Please. Think about the fact that tattoos fade, no matter how well they were done. Faded tattooed eyeliner is no bueno. Also, that commitment to the same eyeliner for all of eternity is a scary thought to me, but that's just me. The fading however applies to everyone.

Huh. Well, it's really not something I'm interested in. No particular reason, just putting on eye liner is NBD to me. But I think a fine line would be just fine and I don't see where you'd regret it. You could always thicken it up or add a "cat eye" to it. I have multiple (like 3) friends who have had it done. We all go to the lake together in the summer. I have to admit, their eyes look quite nice when they wake in the morning. Though their lash extensions don't hurt either. My mom has also had it done. It did fade and she had it done again. It works well for her bc her eyes get irritated by eye make-up.
I wouldn't do it for liner, but if I were fair skinned with light hair I could see doing eyebrow darkening? For me I'd rather just spend the extra minutes doing the makeup myself. I'm also scared of needles like that on my face especially.. And I have no tattoos.
No, I would never do it. I have tattoos and the thought of a needle like that by my eye, such a sensitive area, no thank you! Also, my mom got eyeliner and her eyes were black and blue for almost a week. Granted, her eyeliner looks really good now, but I still wouldn't do it.
