Hi! I am heading to Thailand at the beginning of April to teach English. It's all happening very quickly. I'm very excited but a little overwhelmed with getting everything ready! I have an acquaintance that's been a huge help with my many questions! I have one that she can't really help with because she's a tiny, petite girl! I wear plus size clothing in the US. Will I be able to find much clothing once I'm over there. I'm trying to figure out packing and then what I'll need to have shipped over to me once I'm settled. I was hoping maybe there are some ladies here that can give me some insight!!

I don't know anything specific about Thailand, but I'd be prepared to buy clothes online for the duration. I live in Hong Kong and the biggest size I can find in stores is a 12, and that is only at Gap or H&M. When I got up to a 14 I had no option but to have things shipped. Luckily more places are offering international shipping these days, and some places like Target actually have reasonable rates. I also use a package forwarding service sometimes (myus.com). The shipping isn't cheap, but sometimes it works better to consolidate a few shipments. It's good for old navy and gap because you can't use the coupon codes on online orders so this allows you to get the best price.
Good luck with your move and have fun in Thailand!

Hi, I've been to Thailand many times and can say without a doubt you will struggle to find clothes. Bring/buy multiples of whatever you think you're going to need.
When we lived in Korea, I remember a bustier friend of mine saying she could never find a bra that fit. I would imagine it would be similar in Thailand, so definitely bring all your bras.
not sure if this still holds true or not - but I had a friend that would go to Thailand and have her tailored shirts made. that may be an option.
People definitely still do this and it's pretty inexpensive and quick. It's quality clothing too depending on the tailor you use. If you will be in the Sukhumvit area, I have a tried and true tailor I've used before. I've never had shirts made but have had suits and dresses - years later all the clothing is still like new.
P.s. I'm heading over there in a few weeks too so we will pretty much be neighbors.
