My little troublemaker finally made his grand entrance on Monday, fashionably late, just like his mom and dad. Noah Scott was born Monday at 5:09 pm, clocking in at 9.21 lbs and 21 in. long birth story coming up if you want it, or you can skip down to more pics at the end. We went in to the hospital for my induction Sunday night at 9 and got cervidil placed at about 11 pm. We slept for about 2 hours each, baby kept kicking the monitors off and then hiding so they were in my room a lot trying to place them. They took the cervidil out at 6:30 am and at 7 my dr came in and broke my water. Pitocin was started about 7:30. We had the best nurse ever, she had a student with her and we laughed and joked with her all day long. It made it seem not too horrible to be strapped to a bed all day. Ha. I lasted about 2 hours into pit contractions til I was near-feral and asked for the epi. My nurse took pity on me and pushed me some fentynol while we waited for the guy to come. It was amazing. Lol. Epi placement was so easy and quick, I was still feeling the ctx a little in my right hip a few hours later so he came and pushed me a little more epi which fixed it but made my left leg completely useless, lol. Labor was pretty uneventful other than the heart rate dropping for a few at about 1:30 pm which was fixed with a turn and some oxygen. I started pushing at about 3:30 and my dr arrived for the last 3 or so pushes at about 4:30. I have a 2 degree tear in both directions Sooo that hurts real bad but kiddo is doing great. He nursed for about 5 minutes at about 6 pm, we have struggled a little with that part, my milk still isn't even in yet though so we'll keep trying. H is a great although slightly hesitant daddy, Noah looks exactly like him. Hes pretty chill so far and we are loving the baby snuggles. My dog is obsessed with him, so that's been a little hard because he wants to be near/on him at all times. Lol. If you made it this far, here is a reward:
Oh, also my friend came and took some 'birth story' pics during the labor and delivery. I was t sure I would like having another person in the room but I adore the pics I've seen so far, I'm so glad I had her come. Here are a few:
He is PRECIOUS! And your pictures are amazing and making me cry. You look just as thrilled and amazed as I imagine all mothers feel when they see their baby for the first time. Congratulations!

I pretty much bawl every time I look at the pics. Or his face. Or talk about him. Lol. I have another friend that is a budding photographer that came and took pics on Tuesday, and his actual newborn pics are scheduled for Saturday. I swear this is the most documented child on the planet. Hahaha
I'll say it again. That picture of you looking at your H just makes me teary.
I knoww. I almost made it my fb profile pic but then I remembered my grandma has Facebook now (lol) and I think she would have a panic attack at the naked shoulders. Lol!

Awww those pictures are so beautiful!!! Congrats on your big guy and I'm both LOLing at the dog while I can still understand it being frustrating. Our dog was like that about my little Sister when she showed up.

Gaaahhhh this dog! I swear. He loves him so much but like just now I was holding th baby in my lap and leaned in to kiss him at the same time my h was about to touch his cheek and the dog barked and startled h, resulting in a punch in the face for me. Haha. My mom is staying with us and is about at the end of her rope with him following her every move.
Congratulations! I was wondering about you today. He's gorgeous and I love your photos!
Our dog was quite anxious about the baby, too. Not in an aggressive way, he just had to be near her all the time. It was really annoying for the first couple of days, but he settled down eventually.
I'm really glad he's not jealous or acting out towards the baby but this is a whole different kind of hard! I'm not sure what to do to fix it so I hope it resolves itself like yours did!
Our dogs were pretty intense in the beginning too (we have 3), and had to follow wherever the baby went (aka wherever we went), now at 14 months...the one dog wants to be around, but not too close because then the baby will grab her, the one isn't phased by anything anymore and just wants to be left to sleep on the couch, and the other one is mainly interested when baby has food but does like to hang around for possible attention...lol I'll cross my fingers that your doggie calms down a bit soon
Also it may take another day or two for your milk to come in, but just be sure baby is latching every couple of hours and you will be fine
