We're going skiing and it's going to be FREEZING. Gah! I'm going to wear every piece of warm clothing I own, haha. We still don't have a lot of snow and the temperatures keep fluctuating like crazy. One week it's in the 40s, the next it's in the single digits and then back to 40s. Mother nature needs to get it together.
We don't really celebrate Valentine's either. DH usually picks me up some flowers (not roses) from the grocery store and that's pretty much it.
TGIF! RockNVoll, I'm so glad to hear DH is up and about! Have fun this weekend celebrating Chinese New Year! I can't see the pic you posted for some reason.
Tonight I'm meeting a friend for dinner.
Tomorrow afternoon I'm supposed to go down the South Shore to meet my mother for lunch, but I never cleared the snow off my car and now it is literally encased in a block of ice. Since its not going to get above 10* this weekend I don't see that changing, so I may have to cancel. Oh darn
Sunday morning I think I have to go into MGH for an IVF monitoring appointment (I'll know more this afternoon), and Sunday night we have dinner plans at a small Italian place in North Cambridge. We've never been there before, so I hope its good! Other than that, we'll celebrate Valentine's Day with The Walking Dead and Downton Abbey
Monday I don't have any plans either really. Since I can't run or meet friends for drinks (IVF restrictions) I kind of have a lot of time on my hands these days lol. Maybe I'll motivate to start some sort of project.
Hi, Lilac , it's nice to see you here! Why are you going skiing if there's not much snow and it's freezing out? Are you a glutton for punishment?!
Well... our friend is on the ski patrol at the mountain and offered us free lodging AND free lift tickets (ski patrol get vouchers to give out to friends/family each year). Plus, we haven't seen him in forever. Can't say no to that offer! This mountain gets pretty crowded normally, so we're hoping the cold weather scares away most people
No 3 day weekend for us, so don't be too jealous! Both of our companies only do the major major holidays. Presidents Day does not qualify. After New Years, my next company holiday is Memorial Day. Whomp whomp. But... I get every other Friday off, which is why I can post during the day today! So I guess this *is* a 3 day weekend for me. haha.
Yes RockNVoll , it is Gran Gusto! Have you been? Give me an honest review, there is still time to find something else!
We went on the advice of friends who said they have the most amazing truffle mushroom pizza. We were all jazzed to try it and went on a really wet, rainy night only to find out they weren't offering it that night...womp, womp. We haven't been back since so I can't say much about it--I think we ordered some pasta or something instead and I didn't think it was anything special. But the friends who recommended the place generally have good taste in restaurants so we could've just had an unlucky night.
Sorry, that wasn't much help at all
Aww, what a bummer that they didn't have what you went for! We want Italian and don't want to venture far from home since its going to be so frigid, hopefully it will be decent. There is a real lack of Italian restaurants in the Camberville area, its annoying.

Happy Year of the Monkey RockNVoll! Lilac, we just cancelled the kids' ski lessons for tomorrow. Just too damned cold. My parents are in town. The kids were supposed to be at a karate event tonight so I made reservations for the 4 of us. Well, event got cancelled so now it's a reservation for 6. Saturday, H and I are seeing a movie while my parents babysit. Sunday is swim and L has a birthday party at a skating rink, and later there's a family dance at the library. Then... I get a whole week of having the kids home! Even with my parents here I may lose my mind.

So much luck to you scm1011! I hope you have some very good news on this front very soon. And I swear, if Downton doesn't end with Mrs. Hughes-Carson poisoning Carson for being a giant cockopotamus (thus leaving Thomas with a job), I am going to be very disappointed.
RockNVoll, I'm glad to hear your husband seems to be doing better. I hope he's back to 100% again soon. Lilac, good luck skiing this weekend! And liveintheville, godspeed next week.
We have nothing planned, aside from being held hostage by the rapid fire mood swings of an 8 1/2 month old, ha.

RIGHT?! The last few weeks DH and I have turned to each other with the "OH NO HE DIDN'T" face every time Carson speaks. I cannot wait until Mrs. Hughes explodes, you know its gotta happen.
Thanks for the good IVF vibes! I just got a report from my monitoring appt this morning and all looks good so far! Retrieval will likely be next Friday, eek!
DD has off today for parent teacher conferences. I dropped her off this morning to sing at that funeral. Now we're at Orange Leaf before we go grocery shopping.
Tomorrow is dance class and finishing up her new room. DH is visiting the body shop to get a better idea of our truck damage. Sunday will be cleaning the house. Life is hectic these days, I need to regain control of the living room
