Happy VD (yes I said that on purpose)! Normally my friends and I dress all in black and go out to dinner, but most of them are in serious relationships, so I am home on the couch in sweats watching the Snapped marathon! LOL!
I have good news too! Apparently my eye sight has gotten better, despite not my pupils not constricting light. I'm getting new lenses that are anti-glare. This may sound dumb, but my spinal cord surgery has improved my eye sight, as it has improved my bladder and colitis issues. It has improved my optic nerve. Even though I am dealing with the injuries from my car accident, I am in such a great place emotionally with regard to my SB. Since nerves regenerate over long periods of time, things can continue to get better and better. My quality of life has improved immensely. It feels good to feel "normal."
/end random gushing!
ETA: Sometimes I forget that everything is connected and that the spinal cord has a major impact on many functions of the body!
I just got home from my polar bear plunge weekend. Aaand, I'm so sick. I'm on a z-pack, can't breathe, sore throat. Ugh. So I'm spending my VD on the couch, under a blanket with a lovely box of tissues. I'm about to order Chinese delivery because for some reason wonton soup is a magical cure-all for me, and I need it.
I got the sweetest VD text from pseudo-bf this morning. I can't wait to see him later this week. This sickness better be gone by then!

We baked bread and are getting ready to go to camp grandma. The kids are off tomorrow and it's supposed to snow soon, so we're trying to ease the commute tomorrow.
Abc, your post made me smile big for you!!! Love it!!!
I had a lot planned today but I'm not going any where in this cold. I'm loving snuggling with the rug rats under my warm blankets. They don't mind that I haven't showered, lol. I got up at 7am and saw the temp - nope. Not going out in -7F so made a yummy breakfast and later took a nap. Now, I'm going to look for something to watch. L-A-Z-Y
While DD2 was being tutored at Barnes & Nobles by my cousin, DD1 and I went to the mall and found her communion dress. ETA: original price is $100 but I got it for half that
Now, we're home for a few hours before heading out for Valentine's Dinner with my Dad.
I'm taking myself out to see zoolander. I'm still hanging onto my sickness but I haven't had any human interaction in a few days so I'm making myself go out. My afternoon plans got canceled so I'll rest then.
Today has been so fun! The kids and I laid in bed this morning watching like 4 episodes of Girl Meets World. Then we got Starbucks and I drank my coffee in peace while they ran around the mall play place. Next up was Build a Bear, where I apparently turned into mush and let them spend way too much on stinkin stuffed animals. We had lunch, walked around the mall and are now laying around house.
Today has been a productive day. Took care of grocery shopping for the week, caught up on laundry, worked, and now I am working on dinner. The best part of tonight's dinner is that there will be leftovers for the week. Yay for planning.
The snow has started here and the roads are already slick. Glad I don't have anywhere else to go today.

sweetchix, that dress is so pretty. Your dd will look great in it.
My vday has consisted of scrubbing the bathroom and kitchen and doing laundry. Romantic!
I was super happy because my boyfriend received the card I sent for our anniversary/vday today! I didn't think it would make it until a few weeks from now based on stuff I read but it did! Yay! He also received the cupcakes I got delivered and they are apparently delicious!
I've been having a rough day today. Usually I don't care about Valentine's Day. But this year there is someone who I really wish I was spending it with and it seems he isn't into me. Not so much as a text today or an acknowledgement of the day during our breakfast yesterday. He can't make time to see me much so I think this thing is pretty over. I'm sad about it and having that realization yesterday makes today especially difficult. But I get to see two great friends and celebrate one's baby today. So that's pretty awesome

DH and I have just started watching "Fargo" and are really liking it so far, 4 episodes in.
DH got me the cutest card for Valentine's Day, along with a potted lily plant. I got him a Fitbit, and the Bluetooth won't sync. He's going out of town for work for 3 weeks starting Wednesday, and I really want him to have a Fitbit that actually works.
I got a Cricut for Christmas, and I finally came up with a project I wanted to do. I thought I'd just be able to point and click, but man, was I wrong. So I've been watching their tutorial videos for a couple of hours, and it's kind of overwhelming.
Lesson learned. Do not share possible baby names with others. I'm not looking for your opinion, thanks. You asked, I'll tell you the top 5-10 but not anymore.
I would never think to give an opinion but rather would only say positive for the ones I loved of someone else's. I'm apparently a unicorn, lol.
I spent the entire day on the sofa yesterday, watching Netflix and I feel really bad about it today. My anxiety is sky-high today after a weird text convo yesterday with my soul mate.
I have been out with a guy three time now and he's really interesting and funny, but there's no spark from my side. But I feel lonely and a little desperate for good sex - even if I know this is a bad idea.
This weekend was a lot of fun. Had a nice dinner with A Friday night, got a card and a bracelet that I really wasn't expecting because I told him I'm not into Valentine's Day and I hadn't gotten him anything. Saturday we went to a friend's house to roast oysters, had some bbq, s'mores, lots of fun.
Yesterday I dyed my hair all by myself and I didn't mess it up! I also got new running shoes which I desperately needed and I had leftover pizza, tator tots and red wine at my friend's house. She's moving to NYC in a few weeks and I'm very sad.
