This reminded me of an encounter I had last week.

I was getting my hair done, the lady (she was early 20s) asked what the occasion was. When I told her we were going to a Marilyn Manson concert she said she didn't know who that was and asked what kind of music he did.

I did my best to explain M.M. and she thought she might know who it was - but then started describing Ozzy.

Even if you don't like or listen to his music.. how do you NOT know who Marilyn Manson is?!

I an 90% certain Lady Gaga IS Marilyn Manson who finally got his sex change.
But yeah how do you not know who he is. I have not seen MM in concert since 2002 maybe I think it's been a while.

It never ceases to amaze me how sheltered some people are.

I was concerned Meat Loaf was too "before my time" for some of you ladies here, but was pleasantly surprised at how many know who he is.

I can understand not knowing who Norah Jones is, but I thought almost everyone would know who MM is, even if only for his shock-value of the 90's that made some big waves in the media.
