Who's working today? I am I've been here an hour already and have maybe done 2 things. I don't want to be here.
We have a winter storm warning in effect starting at 7pm and going through tomorrow. They said the worst of it is supposed to hit during the morning commute tomorrow. I'm hoping the office will close. I'd kind of be surprised if they do though.
I am at the point where I really need to do something about my weight. I've probably gained about 20 lbs since summer, although I had lost about 15 between July & August when I wasn't eating because of all that WG crap, so I guess it would only be about 5 lbs, but my pants are tight. I am currently sporting muffin top and trying unsuccessfully to hide it with a cardigan. UGH!
Ooops I just posted in the V-Day randoms. Whatevs, lol. I'm working, blah. And it's a Monday for sure. It's rainy and gross here. I'm annoyed because the rest of the week si going to be gorgeous, but I have to work an hour later than usual tomorrow - Thursday messing up taking Stella to the park (bc it closes 30 min before sunset) and running the trails there. Boo.
Good morning! I'm not working today, but have a lot to do because I did absolutely nothing yesterday! My mom is finally back from vacay so she is coming over to help me with my laundry.
It's snowing here and I'm dreading going to the grocery store. This is what I get for being a bum yesterday!
I am at work today, boo. My flight got back into town at 11:35 last night, got to sleep around 1am, and got up for work at 6:20. Tonight will be an early bed time for sure.
I have been out of the office last Tues-Fri, so lots of catching up is going on today.
I had to call out sick today. I hate calling out in general, but especially hate doing it on a Monday. I am so, so sick though. I've been in antibiotics since Saturday and I'm feeling 0% better. Ugh. I'm just going to be a whiny baby today, I guess.
It's supposed to be snowy/icy/rainy later today, so at least I don't have to deal with that during what would have been my commute home. Small bright side?
I have plans with this new guy this evening. He tried twice to make plans over the weekend and I said wish I could but no bc kids. He has been more quiet and texting less since then. If me putting the kids first is an issue, then we just won't work. But I'm not sure if I'm just reading into it. Idk, it's been a totally noticeable decrease. I'll see him later so I guess I get a feel for the situation then.
Maybe he's just trying to be respectful of your time if you've got the kids? Hope tonight is fun!

It's family day here so mostly everywhere is closed. No work for me! I'm going to yoga for 1215 and I need to vacuum. I will try to be active as it is no longer between -25 to -35. Yay!
No official work for me, but I'm going to catch up on some stuff. Going for a run and then to dinner with friends. Currently laying around in bed watching movies.
I'm off from work. Found out last night that our flight today was cancelled due to bad weather. So I had to rearrange everything, but we'll still make our trip this week. Please send positive juju for house hunting. I've never purchased a home before and I'm just a little nervous that something won't work out. Hoping to find and close on something before we actually move so that it's a smooth transition. I hate moving and don't want to be forced into a short term rental.
ETA: I bought tickets to see Hall and Oates the end of May in our new city!
Working or acting like I am working actually. Rainy cold day.... We are 4 days into a new month on our cell plan and H has already used 6 GB of data out 10. We have 4 phones on the plan. Time to split the phones up....
I'm working, but not that hard. I might take myself to go see Deadpool tonight. BF didn't want to see it and I have a free night tonight without any chores hanging over my head.
I'm working. I'm finally well enough to be out in public as I'm only coughing periodically, so I'm working on my diss at a coffee shop. So much better than being stuck in my apartment.

Exciting!!! I don't feel like working so I was looking at houses for sale around here and in Charlotte. I found one I really, REALLY like here, but obviously I'm just dreaming. It's about $350k above what I can afford. Same about the houses in Charlotte. I found some nice ones, but obviously I can't move, although the houses there were more affordable (but no basement).

DH got a wild hair up his ass, and is now going around changing all the lightbulbs to LEDs, mostly ones that don't need to be replaced yet. I didn't want him to replace the ones over the sink in the bathroom, because the lights in there are good for putting makeup on (unlike CFLs, which can be harsh). There is an LED version of the ones I have over the mirror, so we'll see how it works. The other light in the bathroom is so bright, you could perform surgery in there. However, I am happy about my new Bose speaker I have in the bathroom. I can stream my Pandora over the internet and not have to use my phone. That was my Valentine's Day gift to me, which is kind of sad that I spent more on my gift to me than I did on my gift to DH.

The house market is significantly cheaper in Charlotte. The prices for the homes I'm looking at are probably less than 40% of what a similar home would cost here. It's insane. Yeah, they don't have basements there which is odd to us. J hoped for a basement to move all of his gym equipment to (which is currently residing at his parents house) and to serve as a "man space" and storage. He'll have to settle for a spare bedroom!
The thing is, for the price point we are looking at, we would have been stuck purchasing a condo in very poor condition here--that's all we would have been able to afford here. That was a major factor in our decision. We don't want to live in a tiny unaffordable "apartment" condo with no laundry or parking forever.

Many houses down ther have a bonus room, sometimes unfinished, that would "replace" our basements up north. If you find a house with a finished one, you may not even need to use one of the bedrooms for his equipment.

Yes, I've seen that browsing online. I'm looking forward to having more space. Although this whole thing is equally exciting and terrifying to me right now!! LOL

I had yesterday off but it was also a snow day here so I didn't anywhere aside from the building's gym. Hung out with BF and spent a lot of quality time with the tv remote. I was mostly watching a Danish tv show from 2007 called The Killing. It was good but I don't know that I want to watch the later seasons. I liked the characters from the first season a lot and I'm not sure that I want it to start over with mostly new characters (which the next seasons do).
Valentine's Day was good because the weather held up. We went to a Korean/sushi place that is a bit of a trek but really delicious and it did not disappoint. I had a really tasty dish that is a cross between chirashi and a fresh salad. They make a custom in-house hot sauce for it that is so good. I am being pretty good about eating more fresh salads lately.
