So, I'm totally over my new job. I'm still only working part time, despite promises that she would bring me up to full time work/pay. Since I'm paying actual rent now, I can't sustain like this. As much as I love the part time schedule, it's not good for my motivation/laziness (I woke up at noon today, for example) and I am completely out of money within a week of getting each paycheck. I can't live on credit cards/mooching off my BF.

I was an admin/patent paralegal for almost 10 years. I was SO over it, for various reasons, so now I'm doing something COMPLETELY different (working for a CSA/farm co-op), which has been a nice break, but I'm OVER customer service, lol.

I just stumbled upon a position at motherfucking GOOGLE* that is in the patent department but is not exclusively paper-pushing. It's EXACTLY the kind of stuff I'm good at: identifying inefficiencies, big-picture planning, etc.

I've applied and my good friend has contacted her 2 professional contacts who are at Google now. Please please send your vibes to me for a call back!!

*I live 20 mins from their offices, no relocation required
