Anyone have fun and exciting plans for the weekend? It's the second weekend in a row that the flu has hit our house, so not too fun here. I'm living vicariously through you guys.
Awwww sorry we are going to the zoo and hoping to grab some chick fil a on the way home lol. That fast good thread gave me a craving. Tonight, ils are coming at 5 to see ds and then hanging out after he goes to bed and h and I are going to our favorite kosher deli for a mini date night
Tomorrow, we have to do a big Costco run and plan ds' bday party. Order invited and book the taco cart and tables etc. Then my bff and her guy will be coming over at 4 to watch x files and have dinner with us
Oh and bunch of super exciting laundry in between all that
ETA actually bff and her dude are coming for breakfast and we are doing a beach day with my sil!!! Weather should be perfect around 70!!!

We were supposed to all drive out to the gorge for a funeral today. Instead DS is still not 100% so DH and DD went and left DS and I at home. He's inconsolable about something at the moment, so I'm either going to try and get him to take a nap or take a quick drive to the fabric store so he can fall asleep in the car.
Tomorrow I'm hoping DH will take the kids for a while so I can sew, but I would imagine he has to go into work for a while.
I feel like there was something we were supposed to go to tonight, but I cannot remember what it was, and I'm pretty sure I didn't get a sitter for whatever it might be...
The boys are spending some time with their grandpa right now and I have to run to the library and then pick them up in a little bit. I think tonight will be a take out for dinner and movie night.
Tomorrow I am getting my hair cut and treating myself to a pedicure. My poor feet are so not ready for Spring.

Let me see, I'm going to put this here. Dh tried to tell me that 2 hours and 20 minutes really wasn't enough time for a swim and shower prior to working. At church tonight. F that. I was not pleased. Oh and he's not getting enough sleep. L-o-l. Dd3 slept for 6 hours last night it was dd2 who woke me up 5 hours in. I then got another 2 hours after that. You slept through all of it. Im feeling pretty good and you're whining. Sorrynotsorry.

I'm going to a zumbathon in a little while. I have never done Zumba before so hopefully this isnt a total disaster. I'm only going because it's a benefit for a 5 year old boy from my church who has brain cancer.
DS had a basketball game this morning. His team lost but he played great and scored for the first time!! He has improved so much this season. DD cried and wanted to come home with me after DS's game STBXH let her for a while. We have played games, went shoe shopping, and made food for tonight. I am taking her back to her daddy at 5. My team from work is coming over for a "house warming" party tonight at 7. I'm looking forward to some girl time and just relaxing. Tomorrow I will be sleeping in, recovering from tonight, and possibly grading papers.

That's nice of you to support a good cause and you will love it! Zumba is soooo fun and you can just wing it until you pick it up. The music is great too!!
Just dealing with a sick baby and it's rough. Poor thing is miserable and not much we can do but ride it out. My parents have totally stepped up and my mom took the baby this morning so I could take DS1 to a park play date. My dad is now taking ds1 to the pool so he's not stuck in the house all afternoon. Hoping we get some sleep tonight. Tomorrow ds1 has another swim lesson and his school has an open house that we will go to so prospective families can see the school in action and ask currently enrolled parents questions. DH arrives in the evening, hopefully his flight isn't delayed so he can help with bedtime.
jnksmom that sounds so stressful. I hope he finds a groove with the kids soon and they are happy with their time with both of you. I can't imagine how you feel when they leave and the having to know they don't want to go. Big hugs to you!
