I had my egg retrieval on Saturday and it went very well! They retrieved 14 eggs and of those 11 fertilized and are growing in a lab somewhere inside MGH. DH and I are pretty thrilled with the results. Embryo transfer should be on Thursday, and we'll know in about a week if I'm pregnant. Pretty crazy!
We spent yesterday outside walking around and enjoying the beautiful weather

Good luck, scm1011! I'll be thinking good thoughts for you.
Ben has a terrible cold, so we didn't get out to enjoy the nice weather. We ended up taking him to the doctor yesterday, but she said his lungs are clear, so we just have to wait for it to work through. He's the most pathetic little creature, though, all wheezy and snotty and coughing himself awake when he tries to nap. Sad little baby coughs over the monitor are the WORST.
5kcandlesinthewind, sorry about the baby cold. My little guy has had what feels like a nonstop cold all winter. He gets mostly better then I assume catches a new one, because he gets boogery again. It's the worst. I'm hoping he's building immunity to every germ out there.
I had written a reply that somehow got eaten. DD and I were solo this weekend. DH chose his birthday weekend to attend an event in PA. I figured it was a good birthday present, LOL. I'm glad he went--he saw his mom, and the event was VERY well attended. He was very chatty about it when he got home last night.
DD and I had a blast this weekend. Panera (of course) and ice cream Friday night. Saturday was a bowling birthday party for a school buddy. She came to church with me and another choir member had her daughter there. The girls got along famously--the other girl asked if we could do a playdate soon. A bunch of us went out to dinner after, including the girls, and they had a great time.
Sunday was DD's swim lesson, and we ran some errands and baked together. She even went for a little ride on her bike. All in all a good weekend.
scm1011 I've been keeping my fingers crossed for you girl! Hoping to hear a great update in a few weeks.
This is my last week of leave. But it's school vacation week so DH is off with us. It's bittersweet for sure. But in getting in some exercise and as many baby snuggles as I can.

We're lucky this has been it, but he's also not in day care, so I just know the second he goes to preschool, he's going to catch every single thing out there, ha. Hope the warmer weather brings you all some relief!
cgpm, what a cutie! Enjoy your week. Going back was so, so tough, but there are good things. Like going to the bathroom whenever you need to, eating a meal without screams in the background, drinking coffee while it's still hot, and big, gummy smiles when you walk through the door. Like this (*gratuitous AW ahead*)

I was at a super fun bachelorette weekend in Washington DC with some friends from college. WE had a great time but I'm too old to drink that much for that many days in a row. I'm exhausted.
ETA: RockNVoll , the Imperial War Museum sounds cool. I've been on a big WWII reading and documentary kick so that'd be right up my alley!
I think you'd like it. It's not as popular/well-known as some of the other museums here obviously and that means it's a lot less crowded--extra bonus! Now we know what you can do on your next visit here (hint, hint)
I may actually be able to make that happen late spring/early summer, I'll keep you posted!
On the topic of war history, I'm reading non-fiction that doesn't suck! It's about George Washington's spy ring in Manhattan during the Revolution. Pretty cool stuff
Hello All! I know I'm not as frequent on here as I once was but thought I'd drop in and contribute.
I've sold my house and had closing on Friday. What should have taken 30 mins was more like 3 hrs. On the bright side it's done and we got the check and it cleared so yay! It was super sad walking through the house Thursday night one last time with it empty knowing I would never walk through that door again. It would no longer be my house. However, with the house sold, we can now move forward with the divorce process. Our mediator is drafting up the paperwork finally so hopefully in the next week or so we can file.
I managed to fit all of my belongings into a storage unit two weekends ago and am moving to my new apartment this weekend. I'm pretty excited and nervous. It's my first time ever living 100% on my own.
Then next Friday I leave for a week long trip to Iceland with les which I'm super excited about.
elfinia7 and les , have an AMAZING time!! I can't wait to hear about it (hopefully in person, I'm way overdue for a date with you both).
elfinia7, I can totally understand the mixed feelings with selling your house. Where did you end up finding an apartment? I always wished I had had the opportunity to live on my own!
scm1011 I found a one bedroom in Revere that includes heat, hot water and electricity for not much more then what I've been paying in the current apartment I've been staying in. I'll have to play around with cable options to find the right fit/price but I'm starting off with comcast. The apartment is only a couple of miles from the NorthGate Plaza which I'm told is the good area of Revere.

Good deal! Along Revere Beach is an awesome place to run

Good to know! I'm looking to get back into running with the weather slowly getting nicer.

You're really close to where my parents live then! i.e., Easy to GTG when I'm in town #selfish
I totally love that! I miss you, it's been too long

Right back at ya. I might be back in October for a wedding but not sure yet. Will definitely let you all know if there's time for a gtg. Really, though, you should just continue on to London for a couple of days from Iceland. les or scm1011 will hopefully vouch for my hosting abilities!
