I lurk on my bmb on babycenter, and a woman just had her dd at 22 weeks. She's so tiny, but starting to regulate her temperature and gaining a little weight.
I had a dream about my grandmother, who died 17 years ago. She was with me and my mom in the my childhood bedroom, which was dd's bedroom in my dream, and we were showing my grandmother all the clothes we've bought so far.
My H is home this morning because we have a notary appointment at 11am. But he is super snappy and I called him on it and he accused me of always looking for a fight and now we are both working silently. I'd much prefer if he wasn't here.
I have such a bad sinus headache this morning, it literally hurts to touch my face. I took three Motrin an hour ago and it just barely took the edge off. Whyyyy?
L had three accidents at school yesterday, and one at home last night. I figured this was all going too well, lol. She was excited to wear her big girl undies and use the potty at school again today, though, so we're moving right along.
It's my birthday and H didn't even say Happy Birthday before he left for work. I am hoping he just forgot the date and will call after he realizes, but jeez, dude, I don't even ask for gifts or anything.
He did make me brownies last night, so that softened the blow. Lol!
We saw our condo yesterday, everything looked great! I am so excited, 10 more days.
But our over the hood microwave appeared to have malfunctioned or something because the top of the inside is all black/charred and melted. We have no idea how because it has not been used. We paid extra for this specific one and for it to be set up so they better replace it before we have to move in.

Allie has food poisoning. We ate Taco Bell on Saturday. She told us her taco tasted funny. H and I had something different. About 5 hours later she was crying from belly pain. We had to carry her to the doctor yesterday. She was able to sleep without moaning last night. The kid did great in attendance for school until Dec. She's missed 10 days now.

I got a promotion at work last summer. I was excited about the job and the new opportunity but after being in this role for a few months, I'm not sure it's for me. I don't really know how to bring this topic up at work without making myself look bad.

I have one Papie.
Yesterday, I was deep cleaning my disgusting bathroom. I just finished wiping the baseboards. Everything was done except the shower door. I needed to grab the cleaner for the glass. H walks in and says "have you cleaned the door? It looks the same." Then he ask why it's taking me so long. Let's see. I had to stop twice due to puke duty with Allie. Myles wanted to help by emptying the cabinets and dumping three boxes of bandages. Then he climbed in the shower. Oh and he thought the trash can would be fun. I looked at him and he knew he was going to die. He asked if I would like help putting everything away and mopping the floor.

I'm still moping about having to spend $165 on vaccines and a travel consult. And that my doctor forced malaria pills on me when I said I didn't want it because it's a very low risk area.
I slept like crap last night and I really needed a good nights sleep last night. I have a conference for work today and I get to see my work crush. This makes my day so much better!
I started working on genealogy last night and I've already traced one branch of my family back to the 1600s. Someone else had researched it and when I plugged in my great grandmother it matched and sucked it all into my family tree. Crazy!
Another branch was here in the late 1600s but I don't have names yet. My great aunt Dot's house was super old and the basement was creepy. Half of it had dirt walls, I've never seen anything like it. It turns out her house was built on top of the foundation from 1698 when our ancestors built the house with the help of local Native Americans. WTF?! I can't believe I didn't know this! Her house was so boring as a kid. I wish I was older before she passed so I could have talked to her about this stuff more.

Am I the only person who doesn't vacuum the bathroom? I've never vac'd in there. I just sweep/dust/mop/whatever. The other day I noticed it was kind of grungy behind the toilet and I vacuumed and it looks like the cleaning lady just came. How have I not done this in all my life?
H and I bought a clone a willy as a joke last week. We didn't realize it was a chocolate clone a willy. So, We tried making it the other night and the chocolate wouldn't set, so we stuck it in the freezer. But silicone molds don't do well in the freezer.
I chipped away at this thing for 30 minutes last night like I'm carving a chocolate dick out of marble.
Then, as I got to the end, H tried to pull it out of the mold and the head broke off.
Now I have a ziploc bag of chocolate dick parts (or cockolate as H likes to call it) in the freezer.

Hold up hold up hold up, wait a minute now. Is this a clone of your H's...willy, as you say?
Your LO is younger than mine, so I am impressed. So far, that's about how potty training has gone for us. One week of great days, one day of accident after accident, then back to great days.
I wish I could whiz all over myself and keep merrily bopping along, lol.
Right? I often think it must be awesome to be a two-year-old, in general.
And thanks! She initiated it, so we've just been following her lead, but I knew the other shoe would probably drop at some point. And I totally understand, of course, but at the same time I'm sort of screaming internally because I've been dreading potty training like not much else. This will be a GREAT exercise in patience for me, I can tell already! lol.

Got Carter off to school and worked out. I am waiting on fedex today to get a piece of furniture I bought off of wayfair. I got my entryway piece yesterday and I love it. It makes the foyer look so much better and inviting. I only buy a few pieces at a time so i am excited our house is coming together finally!
And the weather is so crazy right now. We have been in the 60s for the last couple of days and then Thursday/Friday it will be snowing. I am ready for spring!!
I have been stalking the webcam at Morgan's school like a crazy person. Last week her teacher got me all riled up saying Morgan was having difficulties & when asked if they were beyond "normal" 3 year old difficulties she said yes. She was all very "throw her hands up" when I tried to talk to her & not willing to offer suggestions. Finally I followed up with an email to her & the director asking for advice because they have years of experience and this is our first go round with a 3 year old. I felt relieved when the Director assured me that it really is normal 3 year old behavior & offered some suggestions. But now I feel like I'm stalking her to observe the issues
I am not claiming my kid is a special snowflake by any means and I know she can be a jerk but I don't want her to feel like her teacher has given up on her
bex1973 I'm going through something similar. DS had glowing reports until he moved up to this class, they have a new teacher and every day I hear more concerns about DS. Director keeps telling me it's nothing to worry about, it's normal behavior. I'm getting conflicting messages but we don't have classroom cameras so I really don't know what to do at this point.

Yes. Her last teacher was easier for me to talk to, I feel like I'm on the defense with the current teacher. We're doing our best to just stay consistent with the correcting and trying to use the same words they use at school. I make her look at my eyes when we talk about it so I feel like she's paying attention. And talking about it is little "bursts" if you will so it's not so overwhelming.
Three is way harder than 2 - I felt like I had good warning on this from ML parents but it's still a little unexpected!
I have said all along that I don't want my kid to be the asshole that other kids complain about but its tough!
