I see. Most of the negative reviews were complaining that the dishes weren't completely dry. I have never had a dishwasher that completely dried the dishes and I wondered if there is some super fancy something I'm missing out on.

My dishes are completely dry but in the interest of full disclosure I don't think I've ever unloaded the dishwasher as soon as the cycle was over in the three months I've had it.
I do not hand dry dishes. They aren't 100% dry as soon as the cycle is over but if I wait an hour or two to put them away then they are completely dry.

Similar to pp...dishes and silverware are completely dry, but there may be water laying on the tops of cups, the edge of a cookie sheet, etc. that I shake off.
What? I would never hand dry after the dishwasher! Most of our kid-plastic stuff still has some water on it but I just shake it off. Glass, porcelain, etc. is all dry.
Thanks guys. I always let the dishes sit for a while with the door cracked open and they eventually come out mostly dry. I'm glad I'm not really missing some super powered dishwasher.
I have had a brand new dishwasher in our house and now an older one in my new house. The dishes have never been completely dry as soon as it was finished in either of them. I always let the dishes sit for a while before unloading.

Oh! This thread just reminded me I need to get up and start the dishwasher! So thank you!
Never all the way dry here either. Usually silverware, plates, and glasses are good, but all the kids' plastic stuff, water bottles, Tupperware, is still damp. I'm lazy and throw it on a towel next to the sink to finish drying.

DH has the same complaint about our dishwasher (that it doesn't dry things very well). I think he's crazy. If you open it right when it finishes, everything is still pretty wet, but if you leave it a few hours, everything on the bottom rack is fine. The top rack almost always has a couple pieces of Tupperware that have flipped over and collected a ton of water, so obviously those won't be dry.
