I have so many things causing dissonance in my life about which I could complain, but fuck it. I am wearing my most comfortable headphones and listening to podcasts. This is awesome.
We had a 5 and 1/2 hour inspection yesterday on the new house, but I feel better knowing EVERYTHING. Inspection guy told Mr. P that we picked a solid, well built house with a ton of construction upgrades that you don't see.

Boyfriend is amazing, loving and supportive. I am so lucky to have him in my life. I've never had anyone be so good to me during a hard time in my life.
Yesterday, a tornado touched down a mile from the house I own with my ex. That house is the biggest thorn in my side. I am trying to tell myself I'm grateful that the tornado didn't hit my house, but it's definitely a "fake it til you make it" sitch.
I found cute Nike golf shorts for 40-50% off on 6pm.com. Berry & hot pink. I may still suck at golf, but I will look legit while I do it. They're totally "sparking joy", KonMari style.

Those storms and the high winds yesterday were insane. Glad you and your house and things are safe. I was thinking about you this morning during the news...I love those shorts, very stylish, great color. Golf is fun (at least for now before the humidity kicks in).

The extra coffee that I had and the *hope* that I will have a functioning washer by Friday. I'm not holding my breath though, but there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
explorer2001, I am so happy for you that you have someone who loves you and is supportive of you. You deserve that (and a break with your health too)!
My cat is in surgery today for her mammary cancer. What's making it better is despite the very hefty price tag and the fact that this is coming 3 weeks before I'm due and will lose a lot of money between lost work for both my husband and myself, our savings account is healthy enough that the only sacrifice I have to make is not doing professional newborn photography. I dont have to choose care for my cat based on financial concerns. I recognize that most people wouldn't drop $5k on cancer treatment for a cat, but I can. For that I am very thankful.

Well, I got out of the house long enough to get a cut and color. I still feel crappy but I made good use of my feel good window for the day. Bummed that neither target nor Acme had everything bagels but I'm trying onion and they're surprisingly good. eta: I also bough myself stuff to stop the coughing. I took it in the car and it feels awesome to breathe cleanly.
Also, rennido's post reminded me of my favorite random text ever - I have no idea who it was, it was a single text and I've never heard from them again, but I still have it because it makes me laugh. One line - 2 sentences.
"I'm hung. It's huge."
LOL I spent a lot of time coming up with some really hilarious scenarios that could have resulted in that text.
A sentence like this came up in college where someone said, "He's hung like a horse!"
And then another guy replied, "Yeah ... a SEAhorse."

DS was at his dad's last night and called to ask me if he left an old homework assignment on my kitchen table. He did. He said the teacher asked for them, and when he knew it wasn't in his binder he asked if he could turn it in Thursday since it was at mom's and he was at dad's last night. She said that was fine. I offered to bring it to school this morning (I live two blocks from school), and DS said, "That's ok mom. I worked it out myself." I was so proud of him for not getting upset about it or insisting I bring it to him this morning!!
DH & I were debating what to do the weekend of our anniversary this year since it'll be 10 years. I saw that The Book of Mormon was coming that weekend, but tickets weren't on sale yet. Last night, I got a presale code from the theater for it! I combined that with a 50% of email from Expedia for a hotel within walking distance. We then figured out today that 2 of our favorite restaurants in this destination are also within walking distance.
Oh yeah, and already found baby and dog sitters for that weekend!
I weighed in at 159 lbs this morning putting me at a 15lb weight loss. I gained 30 lbs over 3 years ago after a round of steroids and my weight has refused to budge since then. I finally broke 160's and I am so excited. I acted really nonchalant when I saw the number on the scale because my daughter was watching, but I was totally squealing on the inside.
AHHHHH he changed his mind about going to the meeting so now we aren't going out for pizza.
*pout*
Just go out for pizza and no meeting!
Not a bad idea, but he doesn't want to go to the meeting because he didn't want to go back out. He finished his real job at 3, had to go to a meeting for his PT job at 3:30, and then the meeting for Real Job was around 7 p.m. The good pizza place we wanted to go to is in our old town, 30 mins away, and all the pizza places around our current town suck.
Eh. I have gnocchi in the freezer. I'm leaving work in a little bit so I'll see how I feel when I get home. Maybe I can talk him into some other kind of takeout.

I finally received the closing date for my rental refinance! A little bummed that I'll be out of town when they wanted to schedule it, but glad the date is only 2.5 weeks away. I can't wait for things to settle down and just operate smoothly again with regard to this house!
Random coworkers keep telling me my boyfriend is very attractive, and giving me "atta girl!" kinda kudos. Yessss. He is very handsome & charming/outgoing. I like showing him off.
