Laundry tip I just have to share--Updated

I saw on pinterest that you can rub a piece of white chalk on an oil stain and it will draw the oil out of the cloth (just wash as usual after rubbing it in). So I tried it on a few cotton shirts and it worked on all of them except one. These are shirts that I have tried soaking, oxyclean, etc.

Update--Okay I just tried it with some of my girls' clothes and it totally didn't work. I don't know if it was a fluke with the previous load of laundry or what, but it is not the amazing trick I thought it was. Sorry!
