I'm tempted to do this when we stay off site in January. I kind of feel bad but Disney isn't stopping it, they get money for absolutely no effort. It's not against the rules or anything.
Basically we would save parking $17x2
Magic Bands- I would want to purchase these anyway because it was a hassle dealing with cards and small kids $12x3
Throwaway night is $58-$64 so basically it would be a wash but I would get the 60 day FP window try to get Anna and Elsa.
ETA- I think I feel less bad about it happening in January vs prime summer camping season.
I thought about it but it wouldn't allow me to book it online. I figured they had wised up to it and made it to where you had to call in to book and something about having to speak to someone to book it scared me off.
I probably would have pursued it more if I really wanted the Anna and Elsa FP. We won't be meeting them so it was no big deal to me. I figured I would take my chances at 30 days with the fastpasses. I'm about 45 days out now so I don't really know how bad it will be yet. I'm still a little annoyed that I have to make them one day at a time instead of all at once but I can live with it.

Honestly, i don't like it. It doesn't sit right with me morally, especially if i knew i was taking away a campsite night from someone who wanted to book a whole week or something.
Also, on a side note, I feel like disney is rapidly becoming a park very different from the park i grew up going to and this does not help.

I did it in Nov 2014. Back then you couldn't even buy the magic bands online, so it was the only way to get them before our trip. I booked a campsite for one Wednesday in the middle of our trip because that was the cheapest. As with all rooms, it's first come, first served. What if I booked an AoA suite for one night in the middle of the week and then someone else couldn't book the same room for the whole week? Same difference, IMO. I pay for it, I can use it however I wish. We "checked in" online and never went to Fort Wilderness. If Disney really wanted to stop this, they could institute a two night minimum.
