I can prepay $195 or pay on the ship $250 or so. If I pay ahead and decide I don't want them, I can cancel before the last day and be out no money. Seems like a no brainer right? DO I NEED TO SPEND $200 on photos?
I'm always a sucker for the 10 pic package. I'm pretty sure if you don't want to use it they'll refund you. I'd prepay. Just make sure to take advantage of the photo ops so you have lots to choose from.
We paid OOP for two pictures from our cruise and that was perfect for us. We took a lot of our own so we didn't really need "official" ones. That being said, if you have the money, why not? It's a fun memento and cheaper than buying a bunch of souvenirs. (well, potentially)
-DH and I never pay for these photo packages, because - really $200??
- My parents always do and have these wonderful pics and photo collections from their cruise. It's so much fun to pull the cruise books and flip thru the photos.
We bought the package because, like you said, it was a no brainer. We had a 3 year old and 15 month old when we cruised and honestly had very few photos taken by the photographers. The day before the end of the cruise, I decided to buy 4 of the 8x10s and a nice display folder that they had (it has a couple of photos from Castaway Key and signatures of the Fab Five and a place to put one of my 8x10s). The total was something like $60. I cancelled the $195 easily but it took 2 months for the the refund to go through.
