Personally if she still has a good quality of life I wouldn't put my pup down. But once her QOL starts to diminish then I would understand making the decision. This is a hard choice and I think you will know when it is time. Sorry that you and your family have to go through this
Thanks. She has the tumor still, and her breath is really stinky, but she's still loving life and bouncing around and begging for treats. It's just heartbreaking at times. (But the bleeding has stopped.)
I kinda know your pain. My cattle dog is 15 he has fatty tumors, one really close to his penis and another on his ribs, but the docs says he is too old to go under. I just watch to see that there is no strangulation and he has the worst breath (I am starting to wonder if that is an old dog thing).
But he is a food hound and loves going swimming in the ocean, so as long as he is happy stealing butterfingers (I know) I will just try to provide for him the best I can.
