Disneyland Lunch Reservations

Are they needed? I get them locked down for WDW, but don't know if they are needed in California.

If so, where?

What time if we get there at 9 AM opening?

it's going to depend on if you want a character meal or to eat at blue bayou. those are usually pretty packed and often reservation-only.

I usually make them a few days before, last trip we did Carthay Circle World of Color lunch and booked it the morning of.

There's plenty of good food to be had without reservations. Blue Bayou and maybe Cafe Orleans at dinner get booked up.

Just book them online. Sometimes you can luck out and get a walk up at Carnation Cafe or Cafe Orleans but it isnt always guaranteed. If you will be there when the park is busy it is easier to just have something already booked.

The River Belle is now a full service restaurant so you might be able to get a walk up there since many people dont know that it is now full service.

I don't know if you have kids, but the princess lunch at Ariel's Grotto is fantastic, it's in CA Adventure. Definitely make a reservation. All the princesses are there and they each come by your table, the food (and alcohol!) are good.

It all depends on the time of year, day of week, location you want to eat. Not all places take reservations. To be safe, make them.

Cafe Orleans and Ariel's Grotto are my favorites! When are you going, we'll be there the first week of April

We always book Cafe Orleans early becuase it is our favorite.
