I think the biggest issue is getting the times you want. If you do not like the options presented I would try to get your top priority FP at the time you want then the other two at a time you don't necessarily want. This way you can more easily switch to the time you do want. If the initial times are too close I found it harder to switch things around since it does not show any overlap times even if it is actually available.
I never had issues with the site crashing like I did with the dining site.
Not at all. The most frustrating part is getting the time you want for the popular rides. Try to organize it in a way that you aren't bouncing all over the park. So look at the park layout when you are booking them.

I also recommend getting afternoon times for the rides you want and doing rope drop to ride them asap in the morning, so you can get two rides in per day without waiting in the longer lines.
