I have two that come to mind.
1) the day DH proposed. I had just hiked My. Whitney the day before while DH stayed to study for his CPA exams. I met him at his condo, we went to our wedding venue to meet with the coordinator (yes, we had our venue and date picked before DH proposed), went to Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch, and then the beach for wine and sunset. DH asked me to marry him at sunset and we spent hours sitting and talking...I didn't want to leave.
2) for our 10 month date DH came and picked me up. He had been studying a ton so this was a nice change of pace. He got all dressed up and came with a special Hefeweizen beer (my favorite). We enjoyed a beer and then left for the restaurant, where we did happy hour followed by dinner. Afterwards we walked the mall which was all decorated for Christmas. We actually did this date for years (always on 12/21, which is now C's bday).
We were having some problems. It was while we were engaged.
DH wanted to plan a special date for us. He gots tickets for me, him, my BFF and her boyfriend to see Jeff Dunham. He got a hotel room for me and him. We went out to dinner, met up with our friends at the show, then DH and I went back to our hotel. He had booked us a room with a jacuzzi tub in the corner. We had a bottle of wine and lots of sex. It was a perfect date and helped to save our relationship.
My first date with DH. He took me to dinner...walk around to see the lights at a local resort...then off to coffee. It was like 7 hour date. I was sick but couldn't tell him to take me home because I had so much fun.

Does our wedding count as a date? Because not only was it a perfect day, but it's one of the only days in the past decade+ when I didn't feel sick at any point during the day. I figured having a full 24 hours of feeling like a normal person was a sign that marrying him was the right decision. lol.

I never came back to answer!
Probably our first anniversary - we got a hotel room the night before out on the beach and they had this outdoor bar area that we hung out at, only I am cheapfrugal smart and we had our own beer in the room so we just kept bringing those down instead of buying overpriced drinks there. We relaxed and enjoyed the weather and music. Then we went back to the room and ate snacks and jumped on the bed (lol) The next morning we had brunch before we went home and ate the top of our cake, I put on my dress, and we watched our wedding video.
We also had a pretty fun trip to Houston a few summers ago, we went to a local place for pizza and beer, went to the baseball game, relaxed in the hot tub in our hotel room, and had an amazing breakfast the next morning.
We haven't gone on a lot of big vacations but instead we do a lot of overnight trips and they are generally pretty fun.
Our first date! We went mini golfing and I got THREE holes in one. I don't think I'd had one ever before that. I took it as a metaphor from the universe that I hit a hole in one with this guy! And there was such a pretty sunset while we golfed.
Then we split the most delicious ice cream ever afterward. And then there was lots of kissing.
Honestly I can't think of a best date unrelated to trips. Lol. We haven't done many special ones. When we went skydiving it was pretty awesome, but not romantic. Lol.
HoneySpider your date sounds awesome. I loved that you jumped on the bed and smuggled in your own drinks.
katespade it's amazing you felt well your whole wedding day! Best day ever!
