What does "going out with" someone mean to the typical 13 yo

Um, I was doing very bad things at 13. I'm praying that me and the people I was surrounded by were not the norm.

Or am I just oldz. I feel there's so much time to be involved with boys as you get older than when your younger, I'd just like them to concentrate on friends, school, etc.

i wouldn't go this route just because it sets up just one more thing to be sneaky about.  this was the rule when i was growing up and i "snuck" a boyfriend in 8th grade and it led to lots of lying and sneaking around on my part.  not anything horrible, but telling the parents i was meeting xyzfriend at the library to study when i was really meeting him, that kind of thing.  i'm trying not to set them up to have to lie to me.

Yeah.. This is also one of the many reasons I don't want kids.
