What have you acquired lately? Any recommendations?
I have a few
1: Piper Wai Deodorant
I just started using a new natural deodorant called Piper Wai. I saw it first on Shark Tank and really wanted to try it because it sounded more unique than the other natural deodorants I've had minimal success with. I LOVE it. To be fair, I've only used it for one week, but post-partum is a very smelly time and it has not let me down. Also, it feels good and not greasy or cakey like other natural products I've tried. If you try to stay away from aluminum-filled deodorants you should absolutely give this a try. They only have one scent, but I found it quite agreeable and I am sensitive to strong perfumes. The only thing I don't like is having to put it on with my fingers and then rinse my hands.
2: Faux Suede Boots
These are my most favorite casual boots. I had an identical pair for 4 years that just completely wore out. I was excited to see they are still sold and am wearing the replacement today. They have other colors, so I may buy black too.
3: Dress for May Wedding (hoping this fits and will work for nursing. Haven't received it yet. It's hard to see but the straps and back are lace).
amaranth - How did you find the switch from antiperspirant to natural deodorant? I feel like I would be disgustingly sweaty. Also, that dress is super pretty!
@opal I switched to natural deodorant during my first pregnancy in 2014 so my memory is a bit foggy, and also the hormones probably made the switch different than normal. I remember at first my sweat smelled really, really weird. It was like I was detoxing and reacting to the scent of the deodorant. That lasted 1-2 weeks. After that I found that I overall just didn't sweat as much or as badly and if I forgot deodorant for a day it wasn't even too bad. This deodorant so far seems to be acting as an antiperspirant actually. I don't notice any wetness like I did with other brands. For reference, the other brands I tried were LaVanilla (my least favorite), Toms (kind of useless for me), Primal Pit Paste (Worked well if you got the right scent for your body but didn't last all day), and this one (the best by far). Sorry, that got long!
HoneySpider Thanks! It's from ModCloth. I'm pretty sure half of my dresses are from there.

amaranth - I saw that on Shark Tank too. I can't make the swap because I deal with so much wetness. No odor thankfully, but antiperspirant is a must.
I ordered my first dress from Modcloth this week. The reviews say it's pretty low cut but I'm thinking I can have cups sewn in (small chest - no problem!). It's for Derby week, so we will see. I'm a little worried because they only had small and large so I went with the large which may not work.
wanderingenough What a bummer about the dress I have a rule for online shopping that I will only buy it if someone with measurements similar to my own has already reviewed and OK'd the product. In general this saves me the hassle of returns. Sorry it didn't work out! I hope you have better luck for your next attempt. I think a turquoise hat will look beautiful on you!
katespade I totally did that for Zulilly last week. I ordered a few things.. then a few more... then finally a last one on a whim. I hate how long their stuff takes to ship though. I'm so spoiled by amazon prime.

amaranth- It was a stupid gamble. I'm not a large in dresses. Other stuff for sure, but not dresses. There were only three reviews though and they said it ran small, so I thought I'd try it since the medium was sold out. Grrrrr.

amaranth - The "happy as a clambake" dress. It's actually back in stock in medium now but I still don't think it'll do me any favors.
If you look at last Friday's post on the paleo omg blog, she had it on (it's coral). But, as you'll see, I do not have her body type whatsoever. She is tall with long legs and a flat stomach, while I'm short with athletic legs and carry my weight in my stomach. I'm not sure why I thought it would work for me. Clearly I didn't get your memo on finding people with similar measurements as you.

Cute dress! I can't see that dress actually working well for too many body types. She is very lithe so it works, but I don't think it's meant for curves anywhere. lol.
While looking for alternatives I found this dress and obviously it won't suit your needs since you're not going to a Disney Princess convention, but I am quite taken by it.
