Most of what I'm seeing is empire waist, and the seam ends up not even covering my nipple. I'd like a nice nightgown or pajamas, especially for the hospital. Any recs?
Mix and match tops and bottoms might be easier. I've noticed a lot of the nightgowns are tight and have weird seams. I got some nursing tanks from Old Navy and found some matching pajama pants at TJ Maxx.

I had to mix and match with nursing tanks (loved the bravado ones, they held up the entire 16 months of nursing C) and shorts/yoga pants. I am 32DD pre-nursing, those empire things were ridiculous!
I had a hard time with PJ sets. I have two long sleeved nursing night gowns from Amazon (no longer available) that were amazing though. La Redoute is the brand. Otherwise Bravado tanks with ON pants.

You mean empire waists aren't flattering for everyone? Crazy talk. I was at TJMaxx and got some tank tops for $9 and pj pants from Costco so far. I just want soft knit jersey.
I bought button up sets and a robe- from Target and VS- and wore nursing tanks and/ or soft cup nursing bras with camis under them. The soft sided bras I bought were cheap on Amazon because I knew I'd need something but not what size- I was right, I needed the support.I'm a 34G prepregnancy, was a 34I when I delivered and 9 days later I'm an astonishingly horrific 34M.
Also, you didn't ask this, but I have since discovered that it is both impossible to find nursing bras larger than an I cup in any kind of store (including specialty stores) and I wish I would've planned better for that because when my milk came in it hurt like crazy and I needed an underwire to be even remotely comfortable. If I were to do it again I would've bought several bras- probably every one 2-5 sizes bigger from a store with a good return policy so I had one when I needed it.

Oh, man. That's rough. So have you been able to find anything? I'm in an H right now.

Does Nordstrom carry that size? They will make any bra a nursing bra for $16

Nope, they don't carry "extended range sizing" in band sizes lower than a 38 in store, so I'd have to wait for the bra I ordered to come in and then wait for alterations. It's an option if the commercially manufactured ones don't work, but it's a slooooow one when you're in so much pain you're in tears.

They aren't beautiful but my absolute favorite nursing pajamas are men's snap flannel shirts with whatever bottoms. I have a couple plaid flannels that are the best thing ever for easy access. I'm too zonked to do buttons in the middle of the night.
