My main thing is getting cleaning under control. It's mainly our floors. We have wood everywhere except the bathrooms and I feel like the dust takes over so quickly. The worst is that my mom warned me that a house without carpet would drive me nuts, because she had one and would spend the whole morning cleaning floors only to have the house dusty a couple days later. Now I'm experiencing exactly that. She would love to say she told me so!

If it's just dust get one of those microfiber dry mops. Or a few so you can change them out for washing.
I HAVE to clear the junk out of my "exercise room" this weekend and paint it. I want ISO to move his hobby stuff off of the kitchen table so I have to give him a place to put it and I'm not giving up my sewing room/den.
wanderingenough SAME here....but I also have dog hair too! I may look into one of those mops for quick clean up.
I need to figure out a day to wash all of our couch blankets. We snuggle in blankets all week long but I also have DH's never ending laundry to do every day as well. Gotta decide what day to do that.

suzv We keep out litter box in the kitchen, which is not ideal but it's the only place we have room for it (we're in a small 1BR/1BA apt) Basically the back part of the kitchen is designed for you to put a table and chairs and have an eat-in area but we sort of use it as an all-purpose area instead. Not helpful, I'm sure.
At our last place we kept it under the stairs (spiral staircase) Basically we just seem to stick it wherever.
I now realize that saying my litter box is in the kitchen makes me sound completely gross. But it is not by food/any prep area. It's in the back corner by a window.

I need to seriously de-clutter. Our apt is small, we have too much stuff to be this messy/disorganized. Since I don't have a place to put stuff, I end up with a lot of piles of stuff everywhere. I need to figure out what to do.
wanderingenough: laterbloomer is totally right about microfiber mops. We have microfiber dusters from Norwex and they are awesome! I sometimes use them to dust the floor in places I can't sweep like under the entertainment unit.
HoneySpider: Our apartment is likely bigger than yours (2BR/1BA) but I have the same issues. Our old place had HUGE closets where I shoved everything. This apartment has organizers in the closets which means my Rubbermaids don't fit.
Before FIL gets here, I need to hang some artwork/decorations and make H hang the rest (I'm a major klutz so he gets the big stuff). I don't like how it always looks like we just moved in because I have decorations sitting near wherever they're supposed to be hanging. I'm glad we at least found Command strips that hold bigger items.
HoneySpider, our box is technically in the kitchen. It's under the bar area where we have barstools. IT can fit 3 stools but we have the box in the corner and only 2 stools. It has a dome and it huge, I don't really have anywhere else that's it not like in your face.

suzv,I have a house but what I've done is have a doggy door cut into the door to my utility room. I know you rent but it might be worth getting a second hand door cheap that you can put on a closet and do it, then replace the original door when you go to move. The cat can still get at it but it doesn't intrude on your living space.
H needs to trim a bush in the back corner, so the fence people can get back there when they come. We're hopefully going to get boxes from his grandma's house this weekend, and I can figure out how much extra storage I need for the kitchen.

I need to vacuum. It has been on my to do list for a few days now but I just can't get around to doing it. I also need to do a load of laundry and clean out the refrigerator. There is something in there that has gone bad and I cannot find it!
I need to do a major cleaning this weekend. And organizing. I need to get to my linen closet that I posted so I can redeem myself with a good "after" pic! I have a bunch of other problem areas that I hope to get to soon, the pantry, junk drawer, laundry room, giant random closet, and the worst- the garage. I feel like I have random things just stuffed into drawers and cabinets with no rhyme or reason.
We are also really hoping to buy a house this year. We are doing IVF soon, so we need to focus on that first, but I'm really hoping that financially we will be able to swing both IVF and a house this year.
I know I am way late to this post. (As it's not even Thursday to some of you any more, but it still is here.)
My house stuff for the day consists of my tenant calling me at 6am to say that one of our pipes has sprung a leak. It must have started leaking right before he got up because there was very little damage. (Mostly contained to under the stairs on our side, which is just a concrete floor and Rubbermaid storage bins.)
BUT this one leak led me to find another smaller, slow leak that has probably been leaking for DAYS! It also didn't cause to much damage. (We hope)
We are spending the extra money to upgrade all the pipes in that area to the newer stuff. (It was all copper pipe, which isn't allowed to be used here anymore.) So it will cost a little more then just fixing the leak, but we have to replace 2-3 2x2 ft sections of the drywall. We might as well replace the pipes before we cover them back up. (The chance of the new pipe having a leak is way less then the old pipe.)
We are slowly decluttering the apartment. We have a lot of stuff to get rid of. I already did our closet and have 3 bags of clothes to give to my older nieces and sister to go through.
This spring/summer I want to finally paint our bedroom. We are planning on getting new dressers soon and getting rid of the desk in our bedroom. We also want to get a new tv for our living room so our current bedroom tv will be replaced with our living room flatscreen that will save a lot of room since we can mount it on the wall.
I would also love to redo our kitchen counters and backsplash. I plan on putting tiles over our current counter and found peel and stick backsplash at home depo I liked. I just need to wait until I have the extra cash. Our landlord is cool and doesn't care what I do to improve the apartment. I might ask him to redo our kitchen floor soon since it is peeled up in spots.
H is going to steam clean our carpets soon. He loves doing that for some odd reason lol. I also want to steam our couches and might do our mattresses when it warms up and I can open the windows so they dry faster.
