Tomorrow we're going with a friend and some of B's coworkers to the BK ballfields (food truck hot spot) and to an awesome Key Lime Pie place. Sunday we're going to our favorite place on the shore. Monday we'll probably hang out at home and relax and take care of errands. I LOVE HOLIDAY WEEKENDS. (Maybe I'm a little burned out at my job? )

I do!
My wife's birthday is next week so we're having a cookout/party tomorrow to celebrate! Tonight will be spent frantically cleaning, and thank goodness the boy is big enough now to actually be helpful, haha! Tomorrow I'll be making deviled eggs at her request and we'll be getting food and other things ready. We said a 2:30 start time, but who knows when people will actually get there (especially since there are a million football games happening). I'm really hoping the weather holds!
My parents are going to take the boy for an overnight sleepover, so we'll have to get him on Sunday but the details of that are TBD.
Monday just relaxing since we have the day off. Maybe we'll go to the zoo or something. No set plans, though.
Today I'm getting out early and picking up my baby from preschool. I love seeing her walk out of the building - her tiny body makes her dora backpack look so big - her eyes scan the crowd for my face and when she spots me, she runs to me with a huge smile. In that moment, EVERYTHING about being a mom is awesome.
Then, since its our anniversary but we are on an uber budget, we will probably be going out to Dairy Queen for dinner with some gift cards. not thrilled.
Tomorrow we are joining our good friends for a day at the beach and picnic dinner. As long as Sprout behaves, it'll be lovely.
Sunday is TBD.
Monday our BFFs are visiting from out of state. I dont know what we are doing, but we've reserved the whole day for them

Awwwww...I'm sorry. Although before he proved himself to be such an asshole, I always found the John and Elizabeth Edwards story about eating at Wendy's on their anniversary so sweet.
Edited to add: maybe Blizzards can become your new tradition.
Tonight we're going out to celebrate C's birthday, which was Wednesday. BYOB Mexican Seafood - it's going to be awesome.
Tomorrow C and I have plans to see the Mythbusters exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry before it closes, and then we'll just spend the rest of the day together before she flies to our donor's city in the evening.
Sunday and Monday it's just me, and I'm planning a combination of catching up on work, doing some organizing, and recharging. I've had a tough few weeks at work and I need to gather my Chi before embarking on another heavy workload week.
LMC and PBS start school next week. I am a wreck so this weekend will be spent checking and rechecking that we have everything we need. (We do, but you know me.)
Somewhere in there we have errands to run and our friends kids to watch.

So true! But I usually get....scan the crowd...spot me...says "I see them later"...run right past me and out the room. lol!
CT - I know exactly what you mean. I love when I go pick them up and they don't see me initially and I can watch them for a couple of seconds before they spot me and come running to me yelling, "MOOOOOOOOM!!!!" I am going to be so sad when they are too old/think they are too cool to do that.
Happy Anniversary! I totally get what you are re: your Dairy Queen celebration. One year L was sick/working late and I took the kids to Bob Evans on our anniversary - alone. Hope you get some celebration in after the kids go to bed.
