St Patrick's Day Randoms

I have corned beef in the crockpot at home, and I am indeed wearing green. But tbh, it's more of a tealish green and I wear this color all the time. lol

I've gone out for dinner & drinks the last two nights (last night was with codenameduchess!), so I'm going to lay low tonight. There's a parade in my neighborhood on Sunday, so I may end up watching that with my friend, but who knows.

We're having a potluck lunch at work today; I brought homemade white pudding (Irish sausages). Tonight I'm going to see They Might be Giants which is in no way St. Paddy's-ish but I'm super excited!

My home and I have not yet fully recovered from our party last weekend.

I am wearing green today, though probably not doing anything to celebrate today/tonight, sadly. We may go out this weekend to a St. Patrick's day festival, which is supporting local businesses, and will have a flight tasting of one of the local breweries, though not completely sure yet.

I had a new olive green dress from an online purchase last month that had been begging for it's first wear, so today is the day! I think it looks cute, if I do say so myself.

My plan is to possibly skip my afternoon snack in order to have enough calories to consume 1-2 beers when I get home. Maybe I should have pushed off this fitness challenge by a week, but oh well. Not going out, though, so hopefully I won't go overboard since I'll only be drinking at home with dinner.

However, I see that next year it will be on a Friday, so I am already thinking about taking the entire day off and joining the local radio party that goes on every year. I was listening this morning and they tapped the kegs at 7 AM and had hundreds of people already there to party! I have been to this particular celebration in years past, but it's been at least 6 years and I feel like if it's on a Friday, it may be worth going to next time!

Exactly! 

They even give out decent prizes for the "Hardcore 100", which is the first 100 people to get there.  One guy was at the pub camped outside the doors overnight and supposedly he got there at 6 am yesterday morning to wait it out in hopes of getting the #1 prize!  People be crazy....  but fun.

Every Thursday is Purple Thursday, so I was conflicted on which to wear, but I chose a purple shirt and a green amethyst necklace.

No plans to celebrate. Work BFF (who is a redhead) said it's buy a ginger a beer day, so I would join her for a drink if she invited me.

I'm not wearing green. I have a really cute green dress that I intended to wear, but we get to wear jeans and company shirt on the third Thursday of every month...considering my legs needed to be shaved, I went for the jeans. I do have a green tank top to wear to the yoga class I'm teaching tonight though!

I'm sure I'll meet M at the tap room once I'm done working at the studio tonight, but it'll probably be close to 9. We went to a happy hour last night that didn't end till 10, so I don't think it'll be a late night tonight.

I had one beer that made me sleepy, so I stopped at that. Not a strong celebration on my end this year, but oh well!

Same here.  I got stuck at the studio till almost 9, so I didn't even meet up with Mike till 915 or so.  As I was walking in, my friend who's the manager of the tap room warned me that a couple of our friend/acquaintances (I can't decide what they are) were at their limit and already cut off.  Good thing she warned me, but I was still super annoyed having to peel the super sloppy drunk girl off of me and dodge her kisses.  


I didn't stay long after that.

LOL exactly!  This chick is super fun...when we're all drunk.

Although, I can't complain too much.  As soon as I walked in, one of the bartenders handed me an IPA.  I assumed Mike had ordered it for me, but my manager friend said she saw me park and had run in to tell them to have my beer ready since I was going to need it in that situation.  

My drinking has produced really good friends.  LOL  (heart) :beer:
