A is back to sleeping through the night again, for 11-13 hour stretches. She's done it since she was about 3 months old, with slip ups during milestones. Standing was a big one. The main troubles I've had with her sleep is getting her to nap, and getting her to sleep at night. Once she finally goes to sleep she's great. She wakes up and self soothes a couple times a night. I've watched her on the monitor, it's so awesome when she goes back to sleep on her own! I cheer her on, mostly because I don't feel like getting up. "Come on baby. You can do it. Go back to sleep. You've got this. Yes that's it. Roll over, get comfy. Good job. Close your eyes. Close your eyes. YES!!!" Now I need to work on her times. Sometimes she will go to sleep at 8, sometimes midnight, but her most consistent is 10. She always wakes up at 9 or 10 in the morning. That wake up time is usually fine because I'm exhausted from being up at night. Now I really want to start getting to the Y earlier, and I'm going to start her in early care when she's 2 so I want her to start regulating her sleep better. I ideally want 7-7. I guess I will have to start by starting her night routine around 5pm and just stay consistent, and start waking her up at 7 no matter what time she went to sleep. But any advice is appreciated from what worked for you.

When Q was little and going to bed that late, I just started gradually moving him up, instead of just boom go to bed at 7 or whatever. If she's consistently at 10, then Night 1 would be 10, Night 2 would be 9:45, etc until you get her to where you want. Now it doesn't have to be 15 minute increments, more is probably good.
Ok we skipped the third nap and she went out like a light at 8. If this was one of those Choose Your Own Adventure books I'll chose her sleeping until 7 and we make it to the Y around 8. Does anybody remember those books? They were pretty fun.

Do they make those anymore?
Yes! I recently saw them on zulily. They even had them for younger kids. I'll definitely look for them for Q when he's a bit older.
I just remember when I was little I would go to the library after school and read those books until it got dark out. I hope A likes to read books. Right now she likes to eat them.
