My college roommate is getting married in Oxford, MD. I was hoping for an Airbnb to save some $$ but it looks like there aren't any there. The closest one was in another city about 10 miles away in Easton. It looks like it takes at least an hour to get to more 'mainland' MD? (I have family in Annapolis which is why I was looking at driving.) I found a ferry but it stops at sunset. Dulles is a lot less than Reagan but it's 73 miles from Oxford. It looks like there isn't an easy way to get in/around/to Oxford or am I missing something?
I'd fly into BWI then drive over the bridge to the eastern shore. I see no reason to fly into DC. Both the Bay Bridge and BWI are in Anne Arundel Co and about 30 minutes apart. Then about 30-40 minutes to Oxford and you will avoid the DC traffic.
Oxford is on MD's Eastern Shore, so it's essentially close to nothing. lol The closest airport, I would guess, is BWI-Marshall. That's gonna be a lot closer than Dulles or Reagan anyway, but my guess is it's still 50 or so miles away. Your family in Annapolis is probably going to be closest to anywhere else, but yeah, that's still at least an hour away.

BWI is going to be way easier than Dulles. BWI is a straight shot down 97 to the Bay Bridge. 97 is huge and rarely has the kind of traffic that you see around DC.
If I were you I'd just stay in Annapolis. It's not a bad drive from there to Oxford.
Fly into BWI. We actually just went to that area and stayed at the Best Western in Easton. We were impressed with it and will definitely stay there again.
Be sure to check out St. Michael's while you are there.

I just got the invite and thought the same thing but I'm not familiar with that area at all.
The flights into BWI aren't as good time wise as Dulles and most aren't nonstop. That's why I was looking at Dulles. I bitch about the traffic here now but I'm guessing it's nothing compared to DC traffic. ugh.
