The only thing I hate more than being super hot is being super hot and crowded. We had planned to go to WDW the first week of December--low crowds, cool weather, and Christmas decorations! Perfection. But now I am due one week before then.
So, between now and September, I know it will be like the seventh circle of Hell in terms of weather, but is there any period that's known to be low crowds? And preferably free dining?

Last week of april this year is spring break for a lot of places this year so I don't think it will be that slow. Slower then Easter crowds but probably very much like any long holiday weekend.

I would do the first week of May if you want to go soon. Or I would do the 2nd week of September and just deal with the heat if you can handle it while pregnant.
You probably have a good chance of free dining in September but you won't know for a couple more months.

We went in 2014 in September with free dining. It was HOT, like really hot. I usually love the heat, but it was tough. I can't imagine doing that while pregnant.
If you want to go sooner, I'd say May. That's when we wanted to go this year, but had to push our trip back.
I LOVE the maternity leave idea. It's a serious bummer to go pregnant and not be able to go on as many rides as your 3 year old. Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything.
Also, I was so hot and uncomfortable. There are only a couple of pictures of me from that trip, but my face looks like a tomato.
I wouldn't plan anything around the idea of free dining - it was so incredibly limited last year and if they do it this year, I assume it will be the same so you aren't guaranteed to get it even if you go during a free dining period anyways - IMO you are better off going when there's a decent room discount or other package deal
