SS: i'm buddhist, so it's a temple--but we don't go very often. we usually go when someone in the family dies..and the ceremonies surrounding that is about once a week for 7 weeks, then again at 100 days, i think. so.....when someone dies, about 8x's a year. when everyone is alive and well, we don't go. once a year, tops.
h is christian, and we used to go to church together once a week..but we haven't gone in several years.
I really can't stand going to church. I'd rather be outside enjoying nature than inside some stuffy place where everyone pretends to be perfect and then on Monday they lie, cheat and steal. Ok, so that is not necessarily true, but you KNWIM?
I voted every week, but we are somewhere between every week and once a month, especially during the summer. I like going and don't mind, but I'm also a big fan of outdoor church, aka a long run or sitting by the lake. We go if we're around, we don't sweat it if we don't. We also take my grandma, she loves going and has gone to our church for years.
Oh, and we are Christians. I grew up Presbyterian and H grew up in kind of a pentacostal-ish tradition. The church we go to now is Foursquare, it's pretty laid back and a decent balance between the church traditions we were raised with, altho it leans more toward H's preference. It's not perfect, but it's a decent fit for us.

We're Catholic, and I really enjoy going to Mass. DH, on the other hand, does not. He will go on the holidays, but hates to have his Sundays "taken over" by church. I tell him that since M gets up so early anyway, we might as well go to the early service, get it over with, and be home for our day. He says if I get myself and M ready and go, he'll feel guilty and go with us. But I want him to want to go... but I think if we go often enough, he'll start to like it, and will want to go more.
