At one point when I was pregnant with M, I waited 2 and a half hours. He had an emergency at the hospital.
Have you gone to the front desk and asked what the hold up is? Or what time they anticipate getting you back? Was this a regularly scheduled appointment or did they fit you in?
I had that happen at one appt. I was pissed that they knew they were running that far behind, but didn't take a few minutes to notify people. They were an hour+ behind (2 by the time I was seen!) and I had my 2 year old with me.
I'd definitely stick my head out & ask. Sometimes they run behind because of an emergency...I totally get that. Other times, it's chronic & just poor planning. Then I think about switching offices.

I waited 3 hours once. Every single time I go I wait at least 1 hour. The 3 hours was because he had to rush to the hospital for a patient. As he said to me, "when it's your turn, you'll want me there too" so I just sucked it up. I would definitely check in though.
Also I'm in with him for like 3 minutes, I think they just schedule a ton of people at the same time.

That sucks.
I've been really lucky, I guess. I've never waited more than fifteen minutes. It sounds like this is atypical for your doctor, though? I would check in at the front desk.

This happened at my last GYN appointment. My doctor left the practice so I switched to another one in the practice. They called me back on time but I sat in the room in that paper gown for 45 minutes waiting for doctor. I was too chicken to go out and ask what the hold up was.
I always wait this long at my ob, it sucks. I love them though so I deal with it. They get me in for my sonos usually within 15 minutes but then I always wait like 45 minutes in the waiting room after and then like a half hour in the exam room.
