deleting- spam, personal info about your self or others spam- vendors, advertisements, drive by vote for me's but not a vote for me from a regular editing- personal info about yourself or others banning- i think they'd have to do something really bad.. since i've never seen anything horrible on sn, i wouldn't know.. we need something fun to liven the place up. power for mod- they don't have rules yet? i think mod duties/capabilities should be similar to that on tn/tk. those always worked, right?
also, with the quote thing- so if we need to discuss something but can't delete, if we write please don't quote, everyone will respect that right?
Are we still going to use @ to "warn" others of baby/kid type of threads?
How do we want to handle trolls (if we get any)?
define troll- if somebody is here to liven up the place, that's totally fine, right? the only "handling" i would expect is if someone was maliciously posting personal info of others, and then we'd probably ban them, right?
oh and etsy shops, etc, have been generally decided are safe in your sig (unlike tk/tn/tb), just avoid "spamming" it on the main boards. if it gets to that point, they'll be deleted/banned.
something else that was decided on the mod board, was that "mean" posts are supposed to stay, but serious HARASSMENT should be dealt with, is that fair? we don't really have mean posts, i'm pretty sure the rules are just for the national boards when they get lots of drama.
well i requested a baby sub-board for seattle, which allows you to filter for baby only, or mesh the two, but they haven't done it yet. they seriously have soooooooo much stuff to work on. i think there's only 2 people running the site right now.
but we should definitely do the @ sign's until it's straightened out.

Trolls can be entertaining, so I would like to play with them if they come here. But if it got really out of hand, like them calling us "fat, stupid cunts who need to die," I think that is delete-worthy and ban worthy if it's totally ridiculous/repeating.

This may fall into the personal information stuff, but I'd like to suggest that we also are able to have posts deleted that deal with sensitive topics that we'd like feedback on real quick, but don't want to linger out there. These boards are still public and anyone can sign up for an account, so if I need advice about a situation with my friend or something, I might want to be able to delete it after getting the feedback that I needed. Am I making sense?

this was also discussed on the mods board--what they suggested is if you know you will want the entire thread deleted, make it known in the OP..then when you're ready to delete, click report, and it'll get sent to the mods. make a note to delete, and we'll delete.
...again, the main "problem" is with national boards, when people get all up in arms about deleting posts. i think if we ask for no quotes, you can go back in and edit the OP, before it comes down to deleting the entire thread.

Also duplicates, but hopefully that won't be a problem here. It was getting bad on TN for a while when it seemed like your post didn't post and your would post again and then end up w/ three posts.
i think you can delete your own posts, right? just not OP's.
