Hope I did this right and didn't miss another @ randoms thread today.
So yesterday I took DS1 to the pedi for suspected pink eye. Good news! Not pink eye, just an ear infection. Woo Hoo! Also, sometimes his having a G-tube rocks - such as when he turns his nose up at medicine. Fine? Won't swallow it? In it goes anyway.
Also, I asked my dad to pick up the Rx because DS1 took a poorly timed nap - can't blame him being sick and all. Dad goes to pick up Rx - asks for Paddy Last Name's Rx. Nope, nothing for Paddy. My dad then can't remember DS1's real name. Finally, it dawns on him - Kevin as in Kevin Patrick as in my dad's first and middle names. As in I freaking named my kid after you dad!

DD came in our room at 1:45 this morning, and threw herself on the floor when I tried to get her back in her room. Finally, I got in bed and told her to go bother her father, who had fallen asleep in the living room.
Oh, and once DH got her back to bed, he decided to take a shower, and kept walking around with the bathroom door open and the light was right in my face. I'm so tired today.

Hey, I'm last minute and busy. What are you guys putting in Easter baskets? Candy and anything else? I need some ideas - not expensive maybe $15/kid. Maybe I'll buy swim goggles and a little lego kit, but have any other ideas.

DD told me that we need to go have breakfast at Old McDonald's because her tummy was really, really hungry, and that she wanted to play with her friends, okay Mommy?
DS is being all kinds of cute lately - especially if you ask him if he wants to do something, and he goes, "Yeah!" and puts his little arms up in the air. OMG I DIE.

Wait! Didn't you say in the other thread that his alarm then went off because he was going to the gym this morning? Oh poor you. That was bad enough but this on top of it, hell no.

I did a chocolate easter bunny, swim trunks and rash guards (if they arrive, hello amazon. Where are you?) and Power Rangers. The EB is keeping it simple this year. Oh, and the damn swirl pops. Have to put those in my purse now so they make it to NY this weekend.

Shorti has a cold that had her out of daycare for two days last week and has turned into a lingering awful cough. Then it was Sizzli's turn to be home for two days this week AND he decided to go ahead and grow a few teeth.
He finally slept through the night last night for the first time all week.
I have no plans for an easter basket or dying eggs. Which is weird, because I actually love dying eggs, but I don't think Shorti can quite handle it yet (eta: without making me crazy) and she's not yet aware that it's a thing.
So...no? I think the IL's will have a basket for her when we get there for dinner on sunday though.
Wawa - this was going to be my first year doing eggs. Yeah, that didn't happen last night. Instead I drank wine and texted my MIL asking her if she could do it with the boys today (H took them to her place for Easter). She was thrilled. Win, win. I preserve my sanity, she gets to be awesome grandma.
ETA: MIL sent a picture. Egg success! And I can drink more wine tonight kid free.
We got in a crash today. We're all okay, but my bumper is banged up. We were rear-ended by an ambulance. And if there's anyone you can choose to be hit by, it's a private ambulance company. The supervisor rushed out and made sure we were all okay, gave me the number to corporate if we need anything. I'm just pissed I'll probably have to replace my carseats. But I guess the silver lining is I can pick new seats that I like better.

So glad you're okay! That must have been scary, but at least everyone is okay, and you are assured they have insurance and good coverage for things like this.

I was going to also report that we dyed eggs yesterday - and it was basically a success. DD was thrilled, and now her hands are blue. LOL We did both hard-boiled/vinegar food coloring, and hollow eggs, which she colored with the Mr. Sketch scented markers. So much blue.

I hate everyone. Everyone annoys the shit out of me. I'm huge, constantly uncomfortable if not in straight up pain, and still haven't finished my kids' Easter baskets. Tomorrow is my Shower that a couple of wonderful friends are throwing me, and I'm praying that I get through it without turning in Linda Blair a la Exorcist.
I realize I sound like an ungrateful bitch. I am just so damn miserable. I really am thankful, for all of it. I'm just so tired. And feel so damn old.

New water bottles for camp, big league chew, goggles. Easter Bunny is so boring in my house!

Sidewalk chalk, a notebook and sparkly pencils, some kids gardening tools and seed grow kits. Basically I raided the Dollar Spot at Target.

I am so sorry KA. Late pregnancy is just so miserable. I swear I couldn't sit or stand with S because he was so awkwardly placed - head on my cervix and feet in my left lung.
I took the side off S's crib for good. Pray he sleeps tonight.
The kids have FINALLY become enthralled with Harry Potter! They're practicing spells and are reading the books. As a result, they're seeing firsthand how movies just can't compare with the written word.
Now I want to reread the series. Accio Sorcerer's Stone!
Is 18 months old baby too old for PPD? Is it just regular D/A at that point? What if your 6 year old won't stop purposefully annoying you?
No, no it isn't. And anger and annoyance can be a symptom, too. Please, talk to your doc. With Marisa, I didn't do anything about it until she was almost 2. Once I did, I wished I hadn't waited so long. It cannot hurt to at least have your doc assess you.
I'm sorry you're feeling crappy, regardless. Always here if you need to talk.
I have a parenting question- I need to find a workable consequence/reaction for when shorti screams. New fun 3 year old crap- when she's mad or frustrated because she can't have something or other similar toddler reasons she just starts shrieking. Not continuously. Just short SUPER loud sharp screams at regular intervals.
It makes me want to smack her. Which is probably why she's doing it becasue it REALLY pisses me off. Also she's tired and cranky after daycare becasue she's been refusing naps. So...understandable, but still really really annoying.
What do I do with that? I've been taking away privileges or giving tin out. But on weekdays that has meant that we spend out scant 2.5 hours together with no fun at all. Last night she fell asleep in her 3rd time out afyet losing her chance to go to the playground. (2 minutes in t.o. Out like a light. She's TIRED) I wanted to go to the damn park too!
In the car I just stop acknowledgeing her and turn up the music till she stops. At home she's not contained though so it tends to escalate to hitting or throwing if I just ignore. Help me not strangle my child.

I would tell her you want to talk to her when she is ready and then ignore her. Then talk about how you don't scream at her. Is there a pattern? Like x triggers it? If that's the case I would talk about how to deal before the situation emerges and praise like crazy when she does it right. It sounds like three year old fun + attention seeking bc of the baby.
