Here's my first OOTD in awhile...
I think the last time I would have posted, I was largely pg.
Char.lotte An.ne was born on March 6 at 2:30 PM at 8 lbs, 10 oz - which probably explains why I felt like I was carrying a bowling ball with my hips. I never expected I'd say this but L&D was so easy and a breeze - finally! I'd been having real contractions from Tuesday on of that prior week and even Sunday when she was born, I expected to be sent home and told it was a false alarm. She's beautiful and we are so in love. It's been a roller coaster though. Long story short, we've been in the NICU at our Children's Hospital here since she was 2 days old. She's got Hirschsprungs Disease and I'll let you google. I had never heard of it previously. She had surgery to correct the problem before she was two weeks old and was having a tough time with the recovery so they went back in a few days later to see if they missed anything and see if there was anything wrong. Thankfully everything looked good and the surgeon was pleased. We just had to be patient with her.
I'm pleased to say she's doing well now. They finally have allowed feeds to happen and they are slowly increasing them. Not sure when we get to bring her home, but things are looking really good and I'm finally pleased with progress. Hopefully within a few weeks, we will get out of here.
My OOTDs have consisted of leggings and Ts typically as all we do is sit around the hospital and hold her, comfort her, and love on her.
She's gorgeous with a full head of hair.
Seriously, look at this hair.
Here's an older picture before we lost some tubes and wires.
She looks just like DD1 did as a baby with at least 100% more hair.
ETA - AW - I lost all 26 pounds I gained with her by 2.5 weeks and can fit into my non maternity jeans. I wish I could attribute it to eating healthy and working out but no, it's probably pumping and lots of stress.
jenniferl923 She's beautiful, congratulations! Sorry to hear she's had some complications, hopefully you all get out of the hospital soon! That hair is amazing, can't wait to see how you style it.
jenniferl923 Congratulations! She is gorgeous, that hair! Lots of prayers and good thoughts for your baby and family. Hope you time in the NICU is over soon. ((HUGS))
